Of course, that was my though too. But in my eyes the person behind the zombies was a problem. Whoever could use a magic of this caliber on this scale wasn't a normal human being. But Vanessa saying that 'we can't defeat' the person behind them was odd.

"Why?" I asked. "Do you know the one behind?"

Vanessa nodded.

"I've met him before. That crazy bastard… Know him? Who doesn't know him in this world?"

"Do you mean…"

"It's likely. I fought him once before, but he didn't even bother coming face to face with me. He tried to attack me with his zombies. I incinerated them all, but then he came at me with his own strength. I thought it was him, but it was actually a puppet he had raised."
