Bab 101: A game of low stakes

Night.

The Advisor bastard ceaselessly asked us irrelevant questions. Assessing every movement of our body like a hawk all the while.

"So, redhead, what's your favorite color?" he said. This bastard, is he planning to kill us with boredom?

"Hmm, probably white? I don't know?" Alex said. He was playing along for a long time now.

"And yours, dickhead?"

I turned my face away and spat on the floor. At some point, I and Alex divided our roles. Alex would be the cooperative guy, and I would be the asshole. It opened up a lot of options in how we deal with and get information from him.

Advisor bastard went on and on. I stayed quiet and grumpy, but wherever I could, I threw in a snarky remark. As the night grew deeper, the pointless questions kept on increasing. Sometimes the captain woke up. Every time he came to his senses, he tried to appeal to the advisor, but failed miserably.
