Bab 240: - The City of Edenia

The area inside the gate was just as bad as what was outside of it, if not worse.

There was a small building inside the gate, small only thanks to the effect of the large gate that had cast a shadow over it for so long. Judging from what remained of the area surrounding it, it was designed to be a small base, or some kind of security point right behind the gate. There were many smaller things that stood nearby They looked to be things like fortifications that housed mounted weapons, things designed purely to be cover for those who were defending the area. Further away from the building, there were other things that could provide cover to defending forces. Whether it was walls of metal, or new age sandbags that were filled with a mixture of sand and a ground metal, there were plenty of things that allowed for defenders to hold their position behind the gate.
