Bab 181: - Gus vs Maximillian (2)

A shield too thick to break through using brute strength alone. An opponent too skilled to  allow opportunities for Gus to break through. A blade that Gus likely couldn't break free from the possession of his opponent, no matter how badly he wanted to. A mystery mechanical arm that could possibly do anything. An entire half of a face being made of metal. All of these were things that Gus had to deal with if he wanted to beat his opponent.

He threw himself at the shield once again, dodging the counter that came after and attempting to find a gap that he could exploit.

'Nothing. Not a single gap that I can see,' Gus thought, as the two put distance between each other. 'His stance and movements are too solid. He's not giving me any chances. And this sword is useless against his armour, it's nowhere near cutting through it.'
