Bab 144: The End of an Era

The interior of the mansion was traditionally decorated. Most decorations were black with golden linings. Everywhere Noboru looked, the Xuanwu Clan symbol was visible. The Tengu began to worry whether it was a good idea to join Longwei inside. Even if he personally had never dealt with Xuanwu under Metatron before, he was not sure whether his former master had given them information about him. The only thing that distinguished Noboru from his past self was the goatee he had grown and his tight combat outfit. 

The Xuanwu members led the three deep into the mansion. Both the Tengu and Longwei's bodyguard made sure to memorize the way back out. In addition, Noboru was inconspicuously wired, allowing the others in the limousine to see the way on camera.
