Bab 141: Vermillion Birds to the Rescue

Coral had just finished listening to Eros' voice message on her phone. He was tired but otherwise fine. Sighing in relief, she reclined in the rocking chair. At her feet, Reidun lay at her feet, happily snoring.

As the succubus was about to doze off herself, an earthquake shook her, nearly throwing her off the chair.

"What in the-?"

Even her dog was suddenly alert, her ears perked.

There was a brief moment of respite before the tremors repeated. Again. And again. Dust trickled from the ceiling, and the walls began to crack. Worried, Coral and Reidun headed out into the corridor. Guards rushed everywhere, trying to evacuate people to other parts of the Pride building. 

"Aye, Miss Love," a deep female voice called her. Coral turned around to see a muscular elf approach her. "Follow me!" Pointing with her thumb behind her, the elf swiftly turned around and led the way through the trembling halls.

"What's going on?!"
