Bab 138: In the Trenches

Without the comforting sun or the heat from the city, The Surface was a rather cold place to be. Heng shuddered and pulled his coat tighter. The Love pack member just returned from a reconnaissance mission. 

The Surface's Megalopolis was a disaster zone. Each clan scrambled to secure the core of its district, leaving out the majority of civilians. They had to not only procure food and heating but defend themselves from angel attacks as well. To top it all off, all clans fought each other over resources.
