Behind Hell's Gate.

Cold, dark, damp... Every so often along the brick walls were cages with ever-lasting torches inside.

Rows of icy black iron doors were neatly arranged, extending endlessly into the darkness.

If the previous Investigation Bureau Headquarters had some steam-era style with reinforced concrete, the current place behind Hell's Gate felt like the dungeon found in the noble castles of the Green Forest era to Aaron.

"This one will do."

The gatekeeper took out his keys, opened the cell closest to Hell's Gate, threw Aaron in, and locked the door.

Aaron looked around and found the cell's furnishings quite simple – there was only a fixed bed and a small space.

"But it's actually a single room? Such good treatment... Is it to prevent extraordinary people from killing fellow inmates?"

"In ancient times, they would at least have crammed six or seven people in here."

Aaron looked around and found the environment quite satisfactory.
