What! Max climbed in and looked over at the man, there was some tooth mark on his collarbone. So, he got bitten and didn't talk. He must have turned to one of the monsters. Max looked up at the man hopefully, 'Are you hurt? '
'He was so fast, I couldn't stop him. I got bitten before I could shoot him. He also bit those women there. I had to kill them so they wouldn't cause another harm in the future. And am going to kill me now.'
Max's arm fell in total defeat. How could he not have noticed him? Now he has lost three lives due to his carelessness.
Some noises...
'What's that? 'peter look around him
'Gosh, the gunshot!'Max realizes with bitterness,' They must have heard! 'Max voices out in a desperate voice just as the demons walk out from behind the bush.
OMG!!!! The man inside the bus jumped outside with two guns and started to shoot at them.
'What do we do now?? '
Max closed his eyes mentally, thinking of something, anything. It feels like a huge load was tied to his head
A soft scream..... Another one... Max would recognize it anywhere, it belongs to his daughter.
What the...
Peter and Max both look at themselves and say at the same time, 'The others! '
The man looks back briefly, 'You go save others, I will distract them here, 'he says and continues to shoot the demons.
Max and Peter take to their heels, running as if their very life depended on it. It does actually, it does

John shoots at the demon pulling at his grandma's leg and suddenly looks back at Mary but she is nowhere to be found.
Everyone was fighting for themselves, no one had the time to check on others.
And it seems the demons were getting much as if they were sending messages to others from across the world.
'Mary Ann! 'John screamed in fear as he shoot another demon running toward him
'John! 'Mary called suddenly as she raced toward them again. She got scared and thought she could run back to her father but the demons she saw on the way made her run back to John,' John save me, they are too much!' she cries as she falls Midway. And that was when Peter was able to see the demons running after her
'Mary!' he screamed as his sight caught another demon coming his grandma's way.
A gunshot....the demon coming to her grandma's way died.
Several gunshots and the demons running after Mary all went down one after the other.
Jessica walks out and rushes to Mary. She took her off the ground and walked to where John is. She places her safely on the ground and looks at John, 'Hey there, so you can shoot?' She turns abruptly and shoots at another demon coming their way,' Take,' she brings out a revolver and gives it to John. Then collect the one with John and gives to Mary,' Don't separate from each other, I will be watching you as well'
'Yes ma,' they chorus and look at Jessica with huge wonders
'You are alive?' the old woman announce happily as if she still couldn't believe she's looking at Jessica
Jessica smiled and turned again, then she started to shoot at every demon with both bazookas in both hands.
'Mary!' Max screams from afar and rushes to Mary, 'Are you ok?'
She nods positively, unable to talk.
'Stay together alright?' he commanded and they both nodded
Then he got up and started to shoot at the demons as well.
But they need shelter, they can't continue shooting forever. What can he do?? And he notice the demons were getting much and not reducing

Jessica walks out of the place shooting at any demons she sees. She walks nearby to the bus she had parked there earlier.
She walks in and starts the ignition.

Jessica watches Max walk away sadly. She doesn't believe she would die that way. She thought of shooting herself at least that would be better than becoming one of those bloodsucking animals. She tend to pick the gun but her sight suddenly became blurry and pains shot through her at an alarming rate
She collapse and went still
It seemed like an eternity when she opened her eyes, the pains were gone but she had no feeling of hurting anyone. She doesn't even feel any different from the Jessica she was.
She checked the marks. Still there but dried up as if it was healing already.
It can't be, right? That doesn't make sense. She's supposed to be one of those demons now.
She try to stand and she did so perfectly. The guns were still on her.
Jessica brings out a gun and walks out of the hall. A demon rushed over but she shot it down. Then, she walks back to the duplex, shooting down every demon she comes across
She checks in the rooms in the duplex one after the other
There were some soldiers' jeans with blouse and jacket.
She changed clothes and pocketed some guns.
She doesn't know why she's still alive but for the fact that she is, she would make sure the others get to SHALERA
She has a mission to complete. One of the reasons she didn't die immediately she was born

What should he do?
Max was still thinking when a bus parked before him. The demons were also getting much
'Behind you dad! 'mary scream and Max whirl around quickly and shot the demon down
'You need to get them into this bus, a voice says behind him almost immediately. He whirl around again and his eyes went wide with shock.
'Jessica?? Are you alive? '
'I will explain later but we need to move now, 'Jessica says urgently before moving toward the kids, 'Go, I will cover you, 'she says to them. John and Mary nod before walking away to the bus with John's grandma. Whenever any demon made to attack them, Jessica would shoot them down
'Peter, stay at the entrance of the door to safeguard them safely, I will also cover you, 'Max scream to Peter and Peter moves to the front door of the bus
Jessica starts shooting at every demon at every corner. Whenever she rescued someone, she led the person halfway to the bus before going back to rescue others.
And that was how everyone went in except Max and Jessica.
Jessica was still shooting at the demons
'Jessica, we have to go'
'You go..., 'she says and continues to shoot. The demons rush at her that she shoots with both hands. She kicked away another demon that was about to touch her. She throw away the gun with her and brought out another two revolvers from her lap pocket
Max complied and entered but the demons were getting much and coming from different angles. They had to close the door as they were about to enter.
'Move it! 'Jessica scream as she looks around her at the demons surrounding her
'No! Not again Jessica, 'Max scream in annoyance
'We need to start the car Max or we will all die, 'Someone in the car warned sternly
Jessica looks back at Max and smiles, 'I will be alive, I promise you! Now go! She screams again, punching one demon before running off.
'She's trying to distract them! We have to leave now! 'Steven reminded me again.
Max closed his eyes for some seconds before opening them again, 'Let go'
He doesn't know what has come over him. Maybe he just wanted to protect her like how he wishes to protect the others, that he doesn't know but one thing he was sure of was that he doesn't want to lose her...
Can this be love? Can he be falling after three years he had lost his love??
