Lechoń and Raymund's eyes made contact, and although Niedzic couldn't see their gazes, he could sense the tension in the air.

"I think it would be a good idea to call Piotr," Niedzic heard Raymund say.

"No, I don't want him to..."

"You think he won't find out? Believe me, it's better for him to find out from someone he trusts than from the media."

"I don't have a phone..."

"I'll inform him. Don't worry. And your parents?"

"I don't have parents."

Raymund sighed. Niedzic clearly saw the movement of his shoulders.

"It's okay. Adam, you did the right thing. You did damn good, remember that. You saved yourself but most of all you saved that boy. You're a hero and don't you dare think otherwise."

Lechoń did not reply. Of course he thought differently.

"Adam... killing someone in defense of someone innocent is not evil. You know he was a murderer. You know that if you hadn't stopped him, Krystian would be dead by now, or would have just been tortured."
