Chapter 80: Two Heroes Arc (4)
~Ren Y. POV~
[I-Island, I-City]
After our talks from the elevator, Melissa dragged me around to every fun place found in I-Island, while in return, I showed her how to have fun hanging out with a friend. Taking me around, I couldn't help but mutter out loud in an impressed tone, "Whoa! This place is amazing. I can't believe the entire island is man-made. It's nuts that there's normal city stuff here."
Melissa smiled as she replied to me, with her hands behind her back in a cheerful tone, explaining to me about the city, "Yup! About everything you could need. The big downside is we can't travel. The scientists and their families must keep their work top secret. That ensures there aren't any leaks."
I nodded my head, but I felt a small tremor, turning my head to the source…

My source soon turned into a big hero. Godzillo.
Godzillo has the appearance of Ghido Goji, the Heisei Godzilla design from Toho's 1991 movie, Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. He possesses a very dragon-like appearance, with a long tail and clawed paws for hands, although his head more closely resembles that of a bear. He is covered in dark gray scales and appears to be of quite a wide build, most prominently around his legs and torso.
His hero costume consists of a white coat with a high collar, ripped to match its tattered hem, and a pair of baggy white pants. Red flame patterns decorate his collar and most of the lower portion of his pants, all lined with yellow, and he wears a thick, golden belt with similar patterns around his waist. His clawed feet are decorated with bands of spikes, and he also wears silver-plated knee pads.
I couldn't help but exclaim in an excited tone, seeing a Godzilla, "Whoa! It's the Monster Hero, Godzillo! Hey, can I have a handshake!"
Seeing the giant Godzilla, he nodded, shaking his hand while taking a scale from him for the future. Melissa chuckled at my antics as she exclaimed to me, "Nice. I bet a sponsor flew him out here for the expo. They invite heroes to show off new gear and sign autographs. Looks like the events are in full swing."
Observing everyone, I couldn't help but exclaim in an excited tone, "Despite being in the birdcage, this place is incredible!"
I turned my attention to Melissa as she pointed out with a smile on her face, explaining in a happy tone, "A lot of the pro heroes will be at the big party tonight. Ah, but I'm sure you already knew about that, huh? I mean, since you came all this way with Uncle Might."
I curtly nodded at that. It wasn't that hard to know since I can create my formal suits at the ready.
But soon Melissa points at me to an attraction, gaining my attention following the thick, bubbly girl, "Look! Over here! You must check this place out. The Pavilion should be open for us come Yuki!"
I smiled as I followed in after her. She's certainly having fun.

[I-Island, I-City, Pavilion]
During the I-Expo pre-opening, there is a pavilion open to those with the correct passes. Inside is a beautiful blue museum showcasing super-advanced support equipment for Pro Heroes I couldn't help but exclaim, impressed, "Whew~ I've never seen so many new hero items in one place."
She laughed as she showed me some of the support items that Hero uses. The visor one certainly caught my attention, so I made a mental note to add something like that. Eventually, Melissa began to speak in a soft tone about the exhibits, "You know, almost everything here was created using different inventions that Papa patented."
I praised Melissa for her father walking down the Pavilion with a smile on my face, "Wow. I bet you're proud of him."
She nodded her head, face beaming in a prideful tone, puffing her chest, "These support items will help heroes around the world. Who knows how many people will be affected because of his hard work."
Hearing that, I gave her pieces of praise as we continued walking forward together, "I think it's great that your dad is someone you can look up to like this."
She seemed surprised as she turned her head to me with a light blush, her eyes closed, confessing in a proud tone, "That's because it's my dream to become a scientist just like him. Honestly, I should be studying much more."
I chuckled, agreeing, looking at the pillar holding a hero support item in a calm tone, "I feel the same. If I'm gonna surpass the hero All Might, I've gotta train even harder. And having you – "
That was when I was cut off when Ochaco's voice rang, making me stop my words in my tracts from her deadpan expression, "Looks like you're having fun, Ren."
Melissa seemed surprised as I looked over in a casual tone, responding, "Oh, Ochaco? Nice seeing you."
However, she kept the same expression muttering in a broken tone, "Looks like you're having fun."
I chuckled nervously as I muttered out loud again, "You said that."
But that was when I heard someone's voice clear their throat, drawing our attention. Momo showing herself asked in a respectful tone, "Ahem! You appear to be having a good time."
Next to Momo was Jiro in a neutral tone, raising her earphone jacks, making her point, "I heard everything, Yuki."
Seeing those 3, I smiled, greeting them in a chill tone and introducing them to Melissa and vice versa, who looked confused, "Oh! Jiro and Momo, it was a pleasure meeting you all here again. Melissa, these 3 are my classmates from 1-A. And she's Melissa Shield she was just showing me around the Expo a little bit."
Their eyes widened, realizing who she was as Melissa introduced herself to them in a friendly tone, "Nice to meet you. My dad and Uncle Might are good friends. How about we all grab some tea at the café?"
All three of them agreed, with Jiro eyeing me with a raised eyebrow. Great, I'm back to the whole All Might debacle but for now, I plead the fifth.

[I-Island, I-City, Café]
Just as promised we all enjoyed getting familiar with each other in the café. Everyone seemed to be comfortable with themselves while I was left alone by a single table waiting for my drink.
Still, having some peace of mind is fine, too. But soon, I recognized a voice with a certain Pikachu placing my All Might drink in a chill tone, "Thanks for waiting."
I smiled, taking a sip of my drink as I spoke, eyeing not only Kaminari but Shinso as well in a surprised tone, "Now this is what I expected to meet you here. Kaminari and Shinso. Good to see you both."
Hearing my voice, Jiro soon asked in a surprised tone two, eyeing them, "What're you two doing here?"
Denki responded, pointing at the café that this place needed extra weight staff they got a free trip to the island, they applied to work, and they got to explore the Expo on their breaks while making money.
Soon, Denki asked me in light whispers about Melissa as a stoic voice rang out coming from Ida, charging in a scolding tone, "You wanted to make more money, didn't you? But you're not willing to work hard Kaminari?!"
Denki soon screamed as I chuckled, greeting our four eyes in a chill tone, "Glad to see you made it, Ida."
Ida smiled as he turned to us with people looking at us, causing a scene in a friendly tone in his hero costume, "Good to see you too. I come from a long line of heroes it's to be expected that we received an invitation to the Expo, but my family was busy, so it's just me."
I curtly nodded my head, understanding with Jiro mentioning everyone gambled their way to earn a spot for the ticket with Momo. The other girls are here but can't visit the preview, with Momo mentioning in a happy tone, "Uh-huh. We're all planning to look around together once the expo opens up to the public tomorrow."
That was when Melissa spoke up in an excited tone making new friends about showing them around. But that was when Toga appeared hearing her voice to get my attention, "Yo! Ren-san! Glad you gave me your ticket!"
Turning my head around to see Toga she brought her friend along showing to be a very happy Mina as she spoke happily with tears of joy streaming down her face, "My life isn't over… because Toga is here to save my day!!"
I laughed as Toga exclaimed, holding some shopping bags in a proud tone, "Yup! Ren did not need his ticket; he gave it to me! It was hard to pick Mina or Nejire, but seeing my troubled friend beg for me… what – ack!"
Before she was prompt with Mina, shooting an embarrassed expression on her face, looking a bit red, "Toga, they weren't supposed to know – Eew! Why is it wet – did you just lick my hand!!"
That was when Toga pouted with her tongue out as they got into their usual scuffle, causing me to laugh lightly at their antics, "Hahaha… there is just something that doesn't change in our class doesn't."

Before we could continue talking we felt a rumble gazing upon a noticeable ice glacier in a stadium filled with rocky terrain. We all traveled to see the commotion except Shinso and Denki who had to work.

[I-Island, I-City, Villain Attack Course]
We soon arrived to see the lady speaking through the speakers in an excited tone, "A clearance time of 14 seconds!"
Upon gazing into our eyes Ida spoke out loud in a surprised tone, "Wait… isn't that Shoto Todoroki!"
Our gazes soon met up with Shoto, who seemingly looked surprised as he stoically called out to us, "Oh… I didn't expect you guys to be here."
Melissa soon comes over to see, asking in a confused tone, seeing the familiarity between my class and Shoto, "So I'm guessing he's from UA, as well?"
I nodded my head, explaining in a chill tone, my body on the railings, "Yup. But I must ask how did you join Todoroki!"
Hearing that I jumped down from the railings as he explained in a stoic tone cleaning up the ice glacier he made, "My father was invited, so I'm representing him."
Nodding in understanding the lady soon spoke up in a nervous tone addressing me, "I'm sorry but unless you're next we have others wanting to try."
I smirked reassuring the lady punching my fist into my palm preparing to beat Shoto's score out of the water in an excited tone, "In that case sign me up. I wanna see if I can pass your score Shoto. It's morphing time!"
*Click*
*Shiii*
Instantly I was now wearing my Hero Costume as Shoto moved allowing me to try the villain attack course as the lady announced in a hyped tone, "We've got a new challenger coming in at the last minute! Will he end up on top or fail in front of the entire Expo?"
Gotta show and impress everyone here. Let's see… [Full Cowl], [Bio-Electric Aura], and [Attract and Repel] into the Crawler Style. That was when the lady voiced out loud the set in an excited tone, "The attack course is set. Ready… GO!"
*BEEP*
*SWOOOSH*
Rushing forward ahead, I zip and zag all over the place, allowing me to propel myself further, seeing the enemies of robots. I smirked as my arm was engulfed with bioelectricity as I punched out a [Electro Fist].
*RMBL*
Cackling and rumbling of electricity passed through the air as it blasted the robots, short-circuiting their systems and resulting in their exploding. And I made sure to do the same as I impressed the crowd moving forward dismantling them with a powered punch or an [Electro Shotgun] to the face.
Ultimately, however, my time came as the lady announced with me returning to ground level in an excited tone, "An incredible run! He's in first place at 13 seconds!"
Hearing that, I met up with the gang as I mumbled, a bit annoyed listening, feeling I was not putting my all into my training, "Only 13 seconds…? Hmm… I think I might've been slacking in my training if that's the amount of effort I put in…"
However, Ochaco and Ida came to my side as she said in a positive tone, placing her hand over my shoulder, "I think you did great in my opinion, Ren. Only 13 seconds is still a second off from Todoroki's time."
Ida congratulated me, trying to encourage my words of self-doubt in a stoic tone, "True. That was a good showing, Yuki. You'll do better next time."
I smiled, seeing their words taking the compliment. Seeing the chance, though, the rest of my classmates wanted to test themselves in the villain attack course, returning to Melissa's side and seeing my classmates in action and making friends with them.
