Bab 35: Chapter 35 - Mate

I followed Xavier. For quite a while, Claire kept us company as she requested that she would like to see the sculptures. Hence the maids also ended up following us.

Xavier chatted with Claire freely. He would always show a cold and unfeeling appearance to everyone else. I wondered why he was so kind to Lady Claire.

Claire left as Lydia came to take her. Xavier asked all the maids and the guards to leave. Finally, we were alone.

I did not even pay enough attention to the sculptures earlier. One of them was sculpted just like the way I was standing that day, pretending to be a sculpture.

I glared at the sculpture. How humiliating! The man had no decency while coming to tease me.

"Why is this one built like this?" I asked flatly, staring at Xavier.

Xavier chuckled as if he was waiting for this question.

"I saw such a cute reference the other day. I thought it would be a loss not to sculpt it. Isn't it cute, My Lady?" he asked, getting close to me.
