I Listened to Luna talk, I know deep down I should worry about the fact that all my life all she has ever done was manipulate me and hurt me.

Everything that went wrong in my life was because of her and I should shut her up or hang up as she rambled on and on about wanting to come home…I should have hung up but I listened anyway.

"I just want to come home, Owen"

Maybe it was the sadness in her voice or the tears I knew were running down her cheeks or maybe it was the fact that every fiber of my being wanted to take away that god awful sadness and desolation I hear in her voice, I mean she was my mom…at least she used to be.

Maybe deep down, she was still the woman who blew my nose for me, the mom who checked the closet for monsters when Alpha Noah thought it foolish for a ten-year-old to believe that there were monsters in the closet.
