Emily's POV

Leaving Owen was one of the hardest things I have had to do recently but I needed to go home.

It's funny that when I think of home, I think of Waylen and our little darlings.

As Owen walked me back to my car, we didn't speak to each other yet it was a comfortable silence. He was never a talkative to begin with anyway.

When we got to my car, I stopped and I looked at him.

"Are you going to be okay?" I asked him.

He placed both hands in his pockets and he shrugged before smiling softly.

"It will take awhile but I think so. I am ready to face life again" he exhaled loudly through his mouth before laughing to cover up the fact that he was nervous about something.

"What?" I asked him.

"Nothing" he shook his head.

I raised my eyebrows and pouted.
