Bab 114: Acquiring Fire (1)

- The previous day, after dropping Jacob off on the couch-

Alex pulled out his phone and called James as he closed the front door behind him. James answered almost immediately, as he usually did whenever he received a call from Alex.

"What can I do for you, Alex?"

"I need to find a User with a fire ability so I can take it for myself. While I consider this to be urgent I don't want to go out and kill some random person just because I can, is there any way you can point me in the direction of a gangster or something?"

James didn't reply immediately, which made Alex slightly nervous that he might be overstepping by asking for something like this.

"Hmm, I think I have a better way to help." James finally said, relieving Alex's concerns. "I'll come by and pick you up as soon as I can but I'm in city two right now so it might take a while. Are you alright with waiting an hour or two or is it really that urgent?"
