Bab 40: Thirty Nine

  "My ex-mate is the one that no shapeshifter wants." Ethan filled in when Alex suddenly stopped, his voice hard while a muscle clenched in his jaw at what was revealed even if there was more to it.

  Without another word, Ethan went inside the house, and Alex watched him with worry on his face before he followed absently nodding his head to Olivia who was standing outside the living room.

  She smiled at him and opened her mouth to say something, but Alex kept going seeing Eon stepping into the doorway.

  "Olivia …"

  Alex blocked the rest of the man's words wondering why his wolf was strangely quiet, but there was no sign of anger or sadness coming off him.

  Heading upstairs to his room, Alex hesitated outside Ethan's guest room door before walking off getting the feeling that Ethan needed to be by himself right now.
