Bab 22: Chapter 22: Responsibilities

Angela has, blissfully, taken my attention away from the events of the morning. We made our way to my office, located in the town square.

I didn’t even know I had an office.

Angela sits at her desk, as if she’s been here hundreds of times before. Her tablet sits on a stand, next to her computer, where she types away on her keyboard. The glare from the screen reflects brightly off her glasses, making her look like a mad scientist.

I feel a little bad, watching her work so diligently while my computer isn’t even on.

At least, at the clinic, there was always something to do: a file to process, a phone call to make, an appointment to schedule. Here, Angela picks up most of my slack, taking care of emails and reports and giving me the rundown later. She said it’s to help me ease into the position, but I guess I never realized how much work she actually does.
