Several months had passed since Lepus and Brisa left the Donquixote Family.
Right now, the two of them were on a ship sailing away from Lvneel.
That's right, for several months since leaving the Donquixote Pirates, Lepus and Brisa were in Lvneel.
Lvneel is a kingdom in the North Blue which famous for the story of Noland the Liar.
For several months there, Lepus and Brisa hid themselves with their old profession, namely working as employees in a restaurant. However, this time they did not live with the owner of the restaurant, but rented a simple small house for the two of them to live in.
And after a few months, Lepus decided that they would go back to traveling. That's why they were currently on the ship.
Lepus and Brisa are currently on the ship's deck, enjoying the breeze and watching the blue sea scenery.
Brisa, who was feeling happy, brightened up the atmosphere by humming a song.
"Lalalalala~.... Lalalala~~~...."
Lepus smiled seeing Brisa's joy. That's because, previously Brisa was a little sad and regretful after Lepus decided to leave the Donquixote Pirates and they quietly left. However, because she is loyal to Lepus, Brisa is not angry and can accept Lepus's decision even though she is a little sad.
But when she learned from the newspapers that Rosinante was dead, Brisa burst into tears.
"Uwaaahhh!!!!! Onii-sama! Cora-san.... Cora-san.... Uwaaahhh!!!!"
For several days, Brisa looked gloomy and often daydreaming, sometimes even crying when she thought about it.
In addition, although during her time in the Donquixote Family she was a bit afraid of Law, who was always cold and sometimes grumpy, Brisa was also worried about Law, whose fate and whereabouts were unknown.
Lepus had to often comfort Brisa by saying that Corazon left in peace because he had saved Law from his illness. Lepus also often with a tight and warm hug said to Brisa.

And with that Brisa was finally slowly able to be relieved from sadness.
And that's why Lepus was relieved that Brisa can smile again.

After feeling enough to enjoy the sea breeze on the ship's deck, they decided to go back inside.
Brisa still looked cheerful, because as they walked down the aisle of the ship, she hummed again and walked cheerfully in front of Lepus.
"Hm-hm-hm-hm~~..."
But then, just as they were about to turn a corner at the crossroads of the ship's passageway, Brisa fell.
"Kya!"
Brisa collided with a middle-aged man.
From his appearance, this middle-aged man seemed to be a merchant.
Seeing Brisa who fell to the ground, the man said in a high tone.
"Use your eyes when you walk! Are you blind!? Stupid little girl!"
Hearing the middle-aged man's harsh words to Brisa, Lepus frowned at the man.
And seeing Lepus's gaze, the man became even more arrogant.
"What are you looking at!? .... Hmph! Sh*tty brats!"
Then, the middle-aged man continued walking.
Lepus continued to stare intently at the haughty middle-aged man.
When Lepus saw the man enter one of the ship's staterooms, Lepus used a little of his ability to be able to see through the ship's walls.
In the stateroom, the man walks to the sofa and then sits down to read the newspaper.
Seeing that the man was not doing any activities that needed to be observed, Lepus preferred to check the surroundings of the cabin, hoping to find something that interested him.
And the results... Sure enough! Lepus found a sword in a long box in a chest.
The sword appeared to be of the katana type, with a bluish-white scabbard, and a blue-black hilt.
From its appearance alone, Lepus immediately concluded that this sword must be valuable! Maybe even this sword is one of Meitou/Famous Swords although Lepus couldn't be sure for now.
Realizing that there's something interesting to him, Lepus decides to steal the sword later.
Lepus did not think this would be a problem.
Because Lepus suspected that this middle-aged man was a black and corrupt merchant. Because, this man did not put the chest in the cargo section, but instead took the container to the cabin where he was. That alone was suspicious enough. Because, this ship is a civilian passenger ship. No matter how valuable an item is in a container, it should definitely be placed in the cargo hold, although may given some special attention to that item. So, most likely the man bribed the party from the ship, such as the crew or the authorities on the ship so that his chest could be taken to his cabin.
Besides that, another reason Lepus wanted to steal the sword was because the man's rude and annoying attitude to Brisa made Lepus a little offended and wanted to take revenge.

Midnight....
Lepus was ready to act.
He made sure first whether the situation was safe or not.
After making sure the situation was safe, Lepus began to act.
"Okay...."
He waved his hand to open the gap and then entered.
After that, he opened the gap again after arriving at the annoying middle-aged man's room.
Then, Lepus took the chest into the gap.
Inside the gap, Lepus then used a bit of his ability to open the chest without causing and leaving any signs of damage.
And after the container was opened, Lepus took out the contents one by one.
The contents of the box included the sword case that probably a Meitou inside, several books, and several other items. Even so, Lepus only picked up a few that attracted him.
"Sword, Devil Fruit Encylopedia, Sword Encylopedia, World Atlas.... Not bad."
After taking what he wanted, Lepus took out a paper, pen, and envelope from the drawer he had kept in his gap, and wrote down a few 'advice' for the middle-aged man.
After placing the envelope containing the message at the bottom of the chest, Lepus then put back the other contents that did not interested him. After that, he closed and locked the container and returned it to the middle-aged man's room.
After everything was done, Lepus closed the gap and went back to his room to sleep.
