Bab 23: Assasination on its Finest
On a middle of a silent night, Cedrick was standing on a roof. Shadows were wrapping around him as he coldly glanced at the men who were surrounding the inn. None of them noticed Cedrick as he has become one with the shadow.
"There's 23 of them. Are they really that desperate to get those kids? I don't really understand them but if they will continue getting in my way. I'll deal with every single one of them."
Cedrick examined every single of them. Cedrick let out a sigh of disappointment.
"They're just like the previous group. The highest is level 170 but for me it's not even a problem."
He was hoping for someone to be strong enough to atleast give him a bit of challenge. Suddenly a flash of thought flowed to him.
"Isn't this perfect? They're perfect targets for practicing the Flying Raijin of Minato."
Cedrick smiled from the thoughts of imitating the fourth Hokage. Cedrick then coldly watched his targets one last time.
"Now then, where should I start?"
Cedrick leaped through the air and throw five Aghanims to five different targets. He simultaneously teleported to the five daggers and unleash a flurry of slashes and backstabs. Due to being caught off guard none were able to defend.

Cedrick distorted the space around his targets so no sound of any noice were heard by the others. Seing that none of them died, he repeated the process.

Grumbling in his thoughts Cedrick continued his assasination. None of the Yatan's Followers were able to notice the anomaly. None of them had noticed that their comrades had died silently.
Cedrick look at the 17 remaining and leap forward towards the nearest target. Closing the gap in no time, Cedrick transformed in a shadow.
Feeling a chill in his neck, the Yatan's follower subconciouly tried to turn around when Cedrick cutted his neck.

Cedrick wasted no time as he throws Aghanims and teleported at the back of his next target then struck his spine to immobilize him.

Being struck from his spine he subconsciously let out a scream that alerted his comrades. Hearing him screamed Cedrick narrowed his eyes as he cut his head off.

Cedrick remained standing after he finished him off. Unmoved even his target let out a scream.
"It's an assassin!"
One of them shouted. Before they gazed at Cedrick, they saw dead bodies lying on the ground. All of them were shocked to the core as none of them noticed that their comrades have been taken care of. None of them noticed that he had killed them in a short amount of time.
In a single second, everyone's gaze is drawn to Cedrick. He wasn't bothered or alarmed when he sensed their stare.
So I've garnered some attention, huh? Cedrick made a remark. He stood calmly, as if nothing had happened. He pointed his daggers at the people staring at him. He made a cutthroat gesture with his free hand and then flashed a wicked smirk on his face.
Not only he is provoking them, he also clearly underestimating them.
"Fuck I'll kill him."
Cedrick's taunting caused their expression to go from shocked to enraged. Some of them were intrigued by his grin. They couldn't explain why, but they felt a shiver run down their spines.
They all moved forward to encircle him. However, he vanished in the blink of an eye, leaving no trace of Cedrick remained. Cedrick vanished into thin air right in front of them.
Cedrick teleports and transforms into a shadow, just like a specter. His assailants were unable to track him down. He had vanished from their sight.
A sound sounded from behind them as they looked in the direction they thought Cedrick had gone. Their thoughts were trembling. Did Cedrick already circle behind them?
"He's behind us!"
One of them shouted who spotted a blur of Cedrick after turning towards the source of the sounds.
They started bombarding Cedrick with their magical spells but their eyes widened after seing not a single damage could be seen. They were even more horrified as they had seen him devouring their spells.
"Impossible! He's just an assasin. How is this possible?"
Cedrick purposely let them hit him and devoured their spells to disrupt their train of thoughts.
Meanwhile Cedrick vanished again in their sights. His silhouette blurry as he swept through.
So fast! For them Cedrick was so fast that they could not see at all. They wanted to bombard Cedrick but they remembered that it's no use.
They didn't stand idly as they revealed their weapons and charged to him only to find out they couldn't keep up with Cedrick. He was just too fast. With Cedrick's high agility he could even outran them.
Despite this, many of them attempted to stop him. Cedrick was unconcerned about the blockade. They might as well not exist to him.
Cedrick ignored them as he appeared in front of his suspected leader. Seing Cedrick in front of him, he panicked and roared.
"You dare! Come, let me see how skilled you are!"
Because he couldn't use his black magic against him, he fiercly chopped Cedrick with his short sword.
Meanwhile, the others hadn't expected that Cedrick would target their leader. Frustration filled their heads as their black magic which they were proud of is nothing but useless in the moment. They felt powerless. They had no choice but to hope that Cedrick would be killed.
The leader saw his attack was dodged easily by Cedrick who stabbed Aghanims into his forehead piercing through his skull. Cedrick was nothing to him but a flashing silhouette who appeared out of nowhere as his strike hit nothing but air. His mind was trembling. My attack missed? What incredible speed!

In a slowed time, Cedrick took 15 Aghanims and throws at them. He simultaneously teleported to each daggers. With an elegant twist of his body, Cedrick launch a flurry of attacks. His speed reached the peak.
He is using a footwork as he landed as soon as he teleported. His body was becoming more swift and stable as time pass by. He's starting to synchronize and adapting with the rhythm of teleporting to each daggers.
His Innate Skills Perfect Adaptability and Ultimate Talent is showing their might. Resonance was formed as he entered a deep trance of focus.
He showed graceful agility, prominent tenacity and relentless momentum. Coupled with the power of manipulating space and shadow.
"So this is what it feels to be like the fourth Hokage."
Cedrick continued his assaults. No one could block his movements. Not the one in front of him, no one!
Humiliation and frustration filled their heads as Cedrick's constantly attacking them yet they can't do anything. One of them tried a horizontal sweep but was only presented with another miss.
Cedrick is vanishing and became a shadow. He is intangible and uncatchable. Cedrick was too fast and with his explosive damages none of them lasted long.
A Yatan's Follower noticed Cedrick is rushing towards him and hurriedly tried to retreat and flee. However, Aghanims were already aimed at him creating a sense of despair. It was undodgeable.
His mind went blank as the dagger pierced his forehead. In the blink of an eye, Cedrick spin and teleported in the back of each remaining targets. Cedrick landed a backstab in their spines.
Cedrick's actions were precised and controlled. No sloppiness were shown. All Yatan' Followers who were preparing earlier to an ambush were all now corpse. None of them were spared as the despair and fear were shown on their faces.

Cedrick lookerd surprised as his stats had grown tremendously. He was surprised but did not complained.
"I have created Epic items so this should be natural. If I met any Yatan's Follower now, I can deal each one of them in one hit."
Cedrick exited his Time Difference as he used magic to evaporate the blood and desintegrate the corpse leaving nothing behind. As Cedrick has swiftly assinated them, no damage were done in the sorroundings and none has noticed anything.
Cedrick checked the surroundings making sure none was missed and then returned to the inn. Entering the room, Cedrick silently lied in bed as he didn't want to wake the children who were peacefully sleeping.
Closing his eyes, he visualized the battle that took place earlier. He was so satisfied experiencing the Flying Raijin and then tried to sleep comfortably.
Cedrick then thought, It was still his first day here yet so many things happened already. What would happen in the near future?
Cedrick smirked at the thought.
"This is exhilarating."
