Bab 318: The main point
In Tyrell's office of Tiger Castle, the time stopped as a deadly quiet second began its count. Magnus just interrupted Sienna harshly and the three Kings turned their attention to him in disbelief.
"Twenty lashes to your slave after we are over," Sarcos said to Tyrell coldly.
"What?" Sienna looked at her scorpion mate in unbelief."How can you be so cruel?" she asked shocked. She did not like this! Sure Magnus was rude but it seemed too much for the old tiger.
"Nobody is permitted to interrupt my Queen," Sarcos noted.
"But he is too old, it can kill him, no?"Sienna opened her mouth in awe.
"The slaves should know their place and ask permission to speak. I'm already keeping him alive only because of you. Do not make me change my mind!"Sarcos said seriously.
"Can the King's mind be changed so easily?" Sienna asked challengingly.
"Only for you my sweet Queen," Sarcos smiled."But as he started already...do you want to work in order to feel safe enough to have a baby?" he asked Sienna firmly.
"Yes," she nodded."Tyrell, Sharchan and Marco keep asking me...and you too..." she blushed... "But for now I do not feel competent to take care of myself not to say a baby!" she bit her lips worriedly.
"Why are you putting us out of the picture? Do you think we make you pregnant and disappear?" Sarcos asked seriously.
"No, but it is dangerous here...and you get angry... and different and not by yourself..."Sienna started but Sharchan shook his head gently to stop her unsuspiciously."Why is it such a problem for you? Do not you have businesses I do not even know of?" Sienna realized Sharchan's hint and tried a different approach.
"We ran state businesses to take care of our people, it is a responsibility of the King..."Sarcos nodded.
"So why I can't help by having some business too?"Sienna asked.
"Do you know how much it will be embarrassing to us? People will not trust a King who can't take care of his mate's needs."Tyrell said desperately.
"You said you would grant me everything, even unreasonable things. Why not this?"Sienna tried harder looking at Sarcos.
"You are very talented but the people will be endangered by owning your direct makes," Sarcos said seriously.
"Why?"Sienna tilted her head curiously. It sounded weird.
"You can't sell your items because you made them. The people could get killed by our enemies who would like to use these items for magical purposes." Sarcos bit his lips.
"What?" Sienna gulped. She would never endanger the people. "So I can not work like ever?" she asked heartbroken."
"No!"Sarcos shook his head.
"This is not fair! What about my freedom?" Sienna looked terrified.
"Your freedom goes far as we let it go. Well, Sarcos as a family head!" Sharchan grinned satirically.
"Who made him a family head."Sienna lifted her chin challengingly. She knew it but was really upset...
"He is the strongest of us."Tyrell lifted his brows explanatory.
"So what I'm then? A bum everyone can touch and order around?"Sienna got into the angry stage...
"No, you are our mate...we love you the most," Sarcos said calmly. He got Sienna where he wanted her. He knew her rage would fall eventually, so he decided to be firm.
"So why I can't have some life of my own..."Sienna was whimpering painfully. She knew they made their points but it was so enraging to just accept it...
"Our life is together. We are family and we will take care of you..."Sarcos said gently to her.
"I'm not having a baby till I make my own money!"Sienna bit her lips.
"Do not be stubborn. You knew the concept of the Queen already from your old world. Is it so bad here?"Tyrell asked caringly. He did not want Sienna to play too long on Sarcos's nerves, even though he seemed calm. He was worried about the Crystal Pincer within the strong Scorpion King.
"No, you all are so good to me but I still feel scared."Sienna nodded a bit defeated." Can other females, who are not Queen, work and have their own money?" she asked quietly while her mind raced.
"Yes."Sarcos nodded. He saw how worried Sienna was, so he continued."I will open banks in all our cities and everyone can open a bank account. I will open one for you with unlimited funds so you can feel in control of your spending."He bit his lips.
"Thank you."Sienna nodded."What about if I have ideas I like to sell?" she tried to push his generous moment.
"Make me designs and I will look at them."Sarcos nodded." You will be not able to work openly but I will have your ideas made and distributed." he noted. "They will make a profit for the state and you will get an allowance from me."
"And us..."Tyrell and Sharchan added in one voice.
"So I will not be able to work at all..."Sienna sighed. She was kind of coming to terms with it.
"Yes, but you might come to work together with us, it will help you to learn more about business here," Sarcos noted.
"That is better than nothing."Sienna nodded."Thank you. OK, write me a list of my workload then."She nodded seriously.
"It is here."Sarcos gave her an empty paper sheet."Write down what you want to do."He said caringly.
Sienna stared at the list. "What am I allowed to write?" she looked at Sarcos a little satirically.
"Start with making a baby if you are not sure." Tyrell nudged her.
Sienna's eyes filled with tears. She felt as if she disappointed her mates and made everything worse.
"I have enough for now..." she shook her head and stood up.
"Where are you going?" Sharchan looked at her.
"To bed. Where is my place!"Sienna hissed." Do not disturb me tonight. I'm sad and angry!" She wanted to leave but Sarcos stopped her. He grabbed her waist from behind dominantly as an iron ring!
" You are my Queen! You will be happy and content. You are my life and you will not play games with me!" he said seriously looking into Sienna's big blue teary eyes.
"What is wrong with you again?"Sienna shook her head. Her heart started to beat loudly at his touch. Sarcos felt alluring and dangerous at the same time but seemed too firm with her suddenly!
"I said I will have a look at your ideas so do not sulk." he touched her cheek. "You are mine and you will be always by my side as a Queen. You are in this world now and I have to do things the way they are here. It is similar to your old world after all. You have four Kings as mates, so there is no reason to be insecure." he looked into her eyes deeply as if he thought for a little." You might get more mates if you think we are not enough." he added slowly.
"What? I never thought you would talk to me like this..."Sienna shook her head disappointed at his last offer. She wanted to be a little self-sufficient, not to get another mate!
"I do what I need to do, for all of us to survive, for our people, kingdoms and for you," Sarcos said firmly."You have duties as our Queen to protect the people and serve the crown."
"I have no crown, "Sienna replied challengingly.
"Then design one and I will have it made. Make sure it includes all our kingdoms and that you will be happy to wear it."Sarcos leaned as he whispered into her ear and kissed her cheek lightly.
"I do not like to wear a crown."Sienna shook her head.
"Then get to terms with it! Think about it and learn to like it. It is your fate now. You are our all-powerful Queen."Sarcos noted with a soft smile.
"Why can't I just live the way I want to if I'm so powerful Queen then?"Sienna challenged him. He was making her angry because she felt he was right but she did not want to give in like this. She wanted to do it on her own terms.
"I'm expecting your pretty crown design."Sarcos just smiled gently. He could see her heart and that she was resisting from her last strongmindness.
"This is so unfair!"Sienna bit her lips like an upset child.
"Please, try to understand my love, we have a responsibility to the kingdoms. We can't turn everything upside down from one day to another. People would be confused."Tyrell added trying to ease her.
"This is hard for her. Let her sink it in. I will take her back."Sharchan stood up and glared at Sienna. She looked at Sarcos and felt the fear crept into her body. His eyes had blue sparks in them! She looked at Sharchan and clenched into his arm."Thank you..." She smiled with the tears at the end of her eyes and rather went out...
"This did not go well. "she thought feeling defeated. She walked the dark corridors as in a bad dream thinking but as she entered her turquoise room she burst into hot tears. She felt as if she lost her life and any hope to be herself. She felt as if somebody was trying to mould her into something she was not and she never wanted to be. She felt lost, clueless and wrong. And that she had to design her crown as her own pretty chain bounding her...
"Shh. This is not a good time for this..."Sharchan cuddled Sienna on her bed..."You need to be content till Sarcos is by himself..." he hissed quietly to her.
"So you are not against me working?" She looked at him.
"Not entirely, we will find a way around it surely, but now I need your help here. We need to get rid of Crystal Pincer first, hm?" he looked at her gently.
Sienna swallowed hard and nodded. Sharchan was right. He felt so safe and soothing...She looked into his wild yellow eyes as if in a trance when he kissed her slowly.
Sienna felt like an intoxicating almost electric current passing from his lips...his presence was taking over her tired mind. She felt as if everything became so small and floated away...Sharchan kissed her for some time till sweetly relaxed Sienna fell asleep cuddled on his strong chest.
Sharchan listened to her deep breathing for a moment."My little stubborn Queen." he smiled under his nose. "I better get back now." he stood up and went to Tyrell's office again.
