Bab 32: Finding the females
"I'm sorry but you should have known that our Alpha is wild" she said.
" I didn't. I thought his beautiful face would make him quite romantic but then again I was wrong " I said blankly.
"Then you will be of good help to me" she said and I nodded.
" I don't want to die".
"We should make sure none know about this. Those girls do die between three to seven days after they slept with the Alpha" she said.
" So you should be very vigilant. She might come at you at anytime" Bella said.
" Don't worry I'm not ready to die. I still want to take revenge on your Alpha" I said bluntly.
Yes I have it in mind to wipe off that proud look off Bounce's face. He had make me cry. Even if I can't make him cry, I'll surely make him feel so uncomfortable.
Bella looked at me and smiled. "If it's something I can help you with, I will".
I gave her a doubting look.
" You didn't mean that do you?" I asked.
Bella nod her head. " Except if you want to kill him. That's what I won't help you with. But making him suffer a but for treating you that way, I can sure help you with that" she giggled.
I grinned at Bella. " You are such a darling" I hugged her.
I do miss her.
" Come let me get you something to ease the pain between your legs".
Bella was smiling mockingly as she said that.
"Don't you dare make fun of you woman!" I said glaring at her.
" Let me advice you, next time you want to dine with the demon, you have to make such you have an expanded throat to swallow big bites" she said and laughed.
I looked at her and scattered her hair.
"Stop Jessy. My husband loves that hair" she said but didn't stop laughing.
" I don't care" I said and scattered it again.
That was how I forgot my pain and had a good day.
Bounce
"Any news for me?" I asked Moi.
He had suddenly show up this morning. I didn't have time to attend to him since morning.
"Alpha, there's a but of trouble in the pine village" he said .
" And that is?"
" Some people have been stealing our females".
This made me concentrate suddenly.
" How many have been lost?" I asked.
"Seven Alpha".
I begin to get angry. I looked at him for a while.
"Give me details" I then said.
"At first when one of the female was missing, we thought it was just a lady that eloped with her man. Being that she didn't want to get married to her mate. Not until after three was taken at a time, we got alarmed. I didn't want to get you involved and I searched and searched but then another was taken and another. I then realized it's more than my power so I ran here" he said with shame in his eyes.
I looked at him and chuckled.
"You can't be serious. What you just told me now makes no sense Moi. I put in in charge of those people because I trust you to be able to take care of them. Now you are coming with the report that they are stealing females under your watch?" I said so irritated at him.
" I did all I could Alpha" he said.
I glared at him.
" Do you think if I'm the one there, a female will disappear the first time and I would think she eloped? Even if she did, I would make sure I know that she did" .
" I'm sorry Alpha" he said.
I looked at Mitchell. " Get me ready to go to the pine village".
" Yes Alpha" Mitchell said.
"Get here now" I mind linked Gideon.
I could hear Gideon's running feet as he approached my study. He entered and bowed.
"Alpha".
"I'll be going to the pine village. As a beta I want you to hold this village. I don't want to hear stories. You know we are in times were we can be attacked at anytime. Make sure no one knows that I'm not around. Keep the defense high" I ordered.
" Yes Alpha".
" Make sure if anything is out of hand, you will get me noticed immediately. I don't want any mistake or sluggishness".
" Yes Alpha".
I looked at Moi. " Go back to the pine village and get there prepared for me. Make sure no one knows that I'm coming".
" Yes Alpha".
Moi then bowed and left.
"Moi is not happy" Mitchell said.
"He shouldn't be" I said with an indifferent loo.
Moi is sure relaxing now. It's not like before when he's like an hundred soldiers. He seem to me that he is nonchalant about this whole thing.
Why am angry is because when all these was happening, Liam already told me. He said Moi isn't taking actions like he should. It was until Liam threatened to come tell me that he then came. I didn't make him know that Liam already fed me with this information because I know how dangerous Moi can be.
I don't know what has gotten into him that's days that he is misbehaving but then, he is a good man. I know he might have been going through some difficulty.
Now I know that my sleeping days are over. I have two pack to watch over and enemies to fight. I then went to my room to start preparing for my leaving. I wasn't going to get there until late evening.
I was heading to my room from my study, then I met Jessy on my way. She was also walking to her room. At first she didn't see me but then I walked past her with Mitchell beside me. She stopped and scurried to a corner. Mitchell looked at her but then he was beside me so didn't say anything.
Mitchell left me to also go prepare for our leaving. I then walked to my room alone. I noticed that Jessy didn't pass me all the while so I looked back and saw her walking slowly behind me. Seeing me she paused. I gave her a questioning look but then she didn't look at me her head was bowed.
I just walked away without looking back. I have lot of things to do than to focus of her. I had myself planned out on what to do when I got to pine village.

Getting to the pine village, people already gathered together for my arrival. I was very angry. Didn't I instruct Moi that none should know about my coming to the pine village. I as an Alpha gave them my speak. I couldn't blame them for knowing.
"You know very well that anytime I show up, it's for real business. You are part of me and I'm quite disappointed that someone is kidnapping your females and you haven't found anything to do to it. You should be as vigilant as the Lion".
My voice sounds so powerful and it echo at the silence. None moved talk more of make a sound.
"And if I get to find out who all these atrocities falls on, the person wouldn't even be able to imagine what would be done to him or her. Make sure not to announce my coming. I'm here to catch the thief" I said firmly and then left.
I sat down in the office very angry at Moi.
"Didn't I tell you not to let anyone know I'm coming this night? Why then did I see the whole village gathered?" I asked furiously.
" It's not my fault Alpha. It's Liam. He told them all" he said.
Looking at Liam I saw him trembling.
"Why did you do that?" I said fiercely.
"Apologies Alpha. I didn't remember hearing Moi yell me not to tell anyone. I only told those that would prepare your room and they told all" he shivered.
Glaring at him, I went to my study. They are quite so annoying but then I didn't come here to scold anyone. I just want to catch the one who dare to steal my females and leave.
I did an intense meeting with those I have chosen to be a counsel. They were all young but then quite agile. The patrols too were included in the meeting. I got full details of the kidnapping.
"Alpha, I noticed that anytime the females are kidnapped, there is always a dark cloud" one of the patrol said.
Looking at him I knew where he was heading to.
"Are you saying there's magic involved in the kidnap?" Mitchell asked.
" I'm not so sure but then, how then could they disappear without a single trace. One of the victims mother said that she only turned a few seconds and then her daughter was gone. That's explain why I said that" he replied.
" What do you think is common about the ladies taken?" Mitchell asked.
Anytime it's about investigation, I let Mitchell do it. It's his forte. He'll fish the person out soon.
"They are all younger females" the head of the patrol called Zain replied.
"Younger females like..." Mitchell asked.
He was very serious and my eyes was on him. Mitchell and I know alit of things about ourselves. Even to the extent of signals. Most time we don't usually focus on words but the way we speak them.
"None of the females have reached the mating age talk more of waiting for a mate" he replied.
" You are saying they are all virgin females" Mitchell said.
Zain nodded.
" How sure are you?" Moi asked.
"Because my daughter is one of them" Zain replied sadly.
There was silence. I didn't even know any of them was affected.
"I'm so sorry about that" Mitchell said softly.
" No apologies Sir. It's not your fault" he said with a stiff smile.
" What time do they often disappear?" I asked.
" Not a specific time but I then noticed that there's surely this weird atmosphere whenever they want to be taken. It's like a very full atmosphere" he replied.
" Then we have to be watchful. Go search for how many houses that has female virgins among them and come for the report" I said.
The meeting went on until early morning. We gave out duties to all the patrols. I myself have duties. I let Moi continue his own duty. I'm sure going to see to the end of all these. It's quite annoying.
