“YOU DID WHAT?!” Muwang exclaimed at a shrieking decibel that internally shook my organs.
“Shhhhh, please! Let me explain!” I countered, hoping I could get a word in to clear my name.
“What you need to do is explain this to your little lady friend unless you want me to mind-link her and—”
“Would you just please shut up until I finish?!” I felt my heart cracking. My mate was in immense danger, my mate bond was strained, and my past trauma was reappearing at the worst possible time to haunt me all over again.
However, Muwang finally seemed to understand my fit of rage as an indication he should keep his mouth shut, leaving the world around me feeling silent and sterile.
