Bab 384: Through the Twelve Gates

As if planned with perfectly calculated timing to create an impactful dramatic effect, the moment Zeph ended what could have been a rallying cry ahead of a seemingly impossible battle against an near impossible to beat enemy, the elevator reached the end of its journey, and the doors opened.

Lights flickered to life, illuminating the long hallway in blue light that made the cable-clad walls that made up the surprisingly clean corridor feel even more unnerving than before you could see the neatly organized cables that came in a wide array of colors and sizes.

The three of them walked forward in silence almost as if the two fallen angels were afraid of the technological Hell their brothers had built or oversaw the construction of, that Zeph was leading them toward.

Reaching the end of the corridor, the extremely heavy vault door with its arm-thick security bolts looked as imposing as Zeph remembered.

"Is this as far as we go?"

"Just wait, Creadel."
