"My darling, my princess, please speak to me, you don't know how worried I am seeing you like this, it is not like you to be in so much despair, please open up princess and talk to me, what has caused you to be like this?" asked Cecil, his voice laced with the unconditional worry and love a father had for his daughter.
He had been here for the past 30 minutes trying to coax and console Lia, trying to make her open up to him, but all to no avail, but that would not stop him from trying, he just had to try harder, he knew that eventually his princess would open up to him.
Cecil sighed, nothing felt worse than not understanding your child's pain, and he wanted to help Lia so bad.
Cecil continued to caress Lia's hair and rub her back slowly as she continued sobbing with endless despair.
Cecil wished so hard that he could take away the pain she felt and feel it himself, he could not begin to imagine what terrible thing had to have happen for Lia to become like this.
In the midst of his thoughts Cecil did not notice when his wife suddenly entered back into the room the expression on her face far from sympathetic.
"Cecilia get up" said Alyssa her voice lacking any certain emotion, her words also lacked urgency and Lia was very used to ignoring her mother's words so she did not bother getting up as she was told, she continued sobbing, which was the wrong decision from her end as Alyssa was slowly starting to lose her expression of calmness.
"Cecilia get up" she said once more as Cecilia made no attempt to do as she was told as Cecil looked at his wife.
"Cecilia get up" Alyssa said once more as this time Cecil was annoyed.
"Alyssa what is the matter with you? Can't you see that she does not feel well right now??" asked Cecil as he did not get why his wife was being so inconsiderate to their daughter.
"Cecil you stay out of this I am not speaking to you, I am speaking to Cecilia" said Alyssa as she snapped back at him in a calm tone and returned her attention back to their extremely spoilt daughter.
"Cecilia I will not ask you again get up now" said Alyssa one more time as Lia ignored her and that was the last straw that set Alyssa off edge, she was done, she was tired of this bad attitude.
"Cecilia Marina Thomas you will get up right now!" said Alyssa as she walked to Lia's bed and dragged her off as Lia was taken by surprise as she looked at her mother who was usually a very calm woman literally looking at her with an unexplainable anger.
"Alyssa are you mad? What do you think you are doing to my daughter??!" asked Cecil as he stood up ready to defend his daughter from his wife that had suddenly gone mad.
"I know what you did Cecilia!" said Alyssa in anger as those words were enough to make Lia's heart sink even deeper into her chest as she started to cry once again.
"Oh no, don't try that nonsense with me Cecilia, crying will not let you get your way here!" said Alyssa, her voice laced with nothing but anger.
"Mom please try to understand" said Lia as she sobbed.
"Understand what Cecilia?? Understand what exactly?? Are you alright, are you really just like this??" asked Alyssa in disbelief as she was trying very hard to calm herself down, but it was proving difficult, how could she be calm when she didn't even know who her daughter was anymore.
Lia didn't know what to say, she could see how angry her mother was, and she knew that there was nothing she could say to make her mother believe her or try to understand her.
"Go on then, say something continue with the lies you have been feeding everyone" said Alyssa as seeing Lia continue crying made her feel even more enraged.
"Alyssa, that is enough stop whatever nonsense you are up to, look at the poor girl, she's destabilized, what kind of mother are you? Why do you want to make her suffer even more?" asked Cecil as he was angry, hearing the cries of his little girl made him feel enraged and his wife instead of being a good mother just came from nowhere and started to make a fuss.
"Cecil, you don't know anything, you know nothing at all" replied Alyssa as she looked at him and chuckled.
"You say that your daughter is only a poor girl while in reality the real poor ones are those who have had to suffer due to her actions" said Alyssa.
"What are you talking about Alyssa?" asked Cecil as he was confused, he did not get just what his wife was talking about.
Lia on the other hand started to cry even more because once her mother told her father what was going on, she would be totally done for.
"What I am talking about Cecil is the fact that your daughter... your daughter was the one that caused the tragedy that befell Dom and Natasha six years ago" said Alyssa as Cecil's eyes went wide as he shook his head.
"That is a lie Alyssa, who would tell you that and why would you believe such a horrible thing about our daughter???"asked Cecil in disbelief. as Alyssa just smiled, how typical, of course he would defend their daughter, he always did and to be honest Alyssa was sick and tired of that.
"It's typical that you think that way Cecil, but you know I don't just jump to conclusions like that" said Alyssa as she shook her head.
"Margaret called earlier..." said Alyssa as she took a pause and glanced at Lia who felt her heart continue to sink deeper as she heard her words, of course today was destined for her destruction, she would be exposed as a terrible person, she knew that the news would spread like wildfire and it already had.
It was silly for her to hope that her parents would not find out for a while, just until she got her bearings, but it was clear now that with their relationship with the White's they were certainly too close for them not to be informed of this immediately.
"She told me what Cecilia had done, and the good thing is that Cecilia confessed to her crimes herself" said Alyssa as Cecil could not believe her words, or it was more like he refused to believe her words.
"No this is impossible it cannot be so, they just want to pin my princess as the culprit while she had done nothing wrong" said Cecil as he shook his head and Alyssa scoffed, why would she think that her husband would act differently? As always he refused to believe that his princess was capable of hurting a fly.
"Cecilia, my princess I'm here, daddy is here, tell me that this is not true, they are just trying to frame you right?" asked Cecil as he turned to look at Cecilia who in turn avoided his gaze as she continued crying.
"The girl won't answer you Cecil, and even if she did, she would lie as she has been lying to all of us for all these years" said Alyssa with a scoff.
"Cecilia how could you do something as terrible as that to your friends?" asked Alyssa as she was just in so much shock at the moment, she knew her daughter was unstable, but engaging in something as criminal as drugging people was just too much even for her.
"Mom I know it sounds bad but... but you have to let me explain, you need to know why I did it" said Lia as she cried, right now all she wanted was to be comforted, but it was clear from the cold look on her mother's face and the confused look on her father's face that she would not be getting any comforting any time soon.
"Oh I know why Cecilia, because of the stupid baseless crush you had on Dominic and I do not care because that is not enough to ruin someone's marriage, do you know what you did? You ruined the lives of two people!" said Alyssa as saying out loud her face contorted realizing just how serious this case was.
"And worse of all you made everyone believe that Natasha did it, for years she had been the subject of our hate and disdain while you... all these years went scot-free" said Alyssa as Lia cried she looked at her father who in turn looked at her in silence, he had nothing to say, judging from Lia's speech and behaviour it was clear that she truly did do what she was accused of.
"Cecilia what you did is criminal nothing but criminal this is a crime! And I am very sure that you did things even worse because if you could do this, there is no limit to what you are capable of" said Alyssa.
"You are a criminal Cecilia, a criminal!!"said Alyssa as the more she said it, the angrier she became. This was every mother's worst fear, that their child had turned into a monster and it was evident here that Lia was worse than a monster.
Lia could only cry heavily with her mouth shouting at her, she had never experienced this before, her mother had always tried to be understanding but right now she was enraged and Lia was scared of what her mother could do and it was clear that her father would be no help either.
"You are lucky that the White's won't press charges because of our long history of friendship together... but Natasha... the poor girl is probably destabilized, you better pray she doesn't want to get revenge because if the police show up here they are more than welcome to take you away" said Alyssa as that aggravated Lia's sobs.
"Alyssa!" called Cecil in shock as Alyssa shot him one nasty looking glare that was more than enough to shut him up.
"I would never believe that you would be able to do something as serious as what you did" said Alyssa as her face switched from cold to sad.
"Where did I go wrong? What did I do to aid your bad behaviour?" asked Alyssa as it seemed like she was talking to herself.
"I tried everything to be a good mother, to raise you well, and you turn out like this... a criminal... a woman with no basic morals or common sense..." said Alyssa as she shook her head.
"Cecilia when will you learn?? When will you learn that you don't always get what you want?" asked Alyssa.
"It's all your fault Cecil, all your fault!" said Alyssa as she turned to her silent husband.
"For years and years I have been telling you that the way you decided to raise her was terrible, you never set boundaries, you always gave her what she wanted, and look now, she's a criminal, a murderer an unlawful person!" said Alyssa as she felt like crying as Cecil looked away, silent, no words able to come out from his mouth.
"I told you severally, but did you listen? No, now look, your daughter has been spoilt beyond correction" said Alyssa.
"I tried, I really tried, and as for you Cecilia, you are also to blame for where you are right now, if your father insisted on spoiling you, why did you agree to be spoiled?" asked Alyssa.
"Just stop crying and wipe your tears because you are fooling no one here" said Alyssa in anger her sadness disappearing as if it was never there.
"I don't know who you are anymore... I am so ashamed to be called your mother..."said Alyssa as Lia looked at her, her eyes filled pain.
"You are not my daughter, because no child of mine that I carried in me for nine months would do the things you did, or turn out the way you did" said Alyssa as she shook her head.
"Mom please don-"said Lia as she was cut off.
"Don't you even dare say anything, I am not your mother, I would never be a mother to a child like you... a child that doesn't make me proud, a child that I fear for my own safety when I am around her" said Alyssa her eyes filled with coldness as Lia cried even more, she had never seen her mother like this before.
"Dinner will be served at six, if you want to eat come down, if you don't then that's your problem" said Alyssa to no one in particular a she turned around and left the room as Lia fell back down on her bed with heavy tears flowing.
Haha Hiiiiii everyone I'm backkkkk sorry for the super long leave, I didn't plan it but oh well, I'm back now and the story continues haha!!
