Bab 57: Moving Out

"The number you're calling is busy. Press one after the tone and leave your message." 

Iris looked at Calixto with knitted eyebrows because he looked mad. 

"It was not the same voice. I think I was just imagining it," she said under her breath. 

She picked up her broken phone and put it inside the first drawer of her bedside table. 

"Sorry." 

"For what?" 

Calixto furrowed his eyebrows tighter as he gazed at Iris who looked like a wilted flower. Her eyes were tired and her shoulders were slumped in defeat as she picked up her pillows and piled them together. 

She turned to Calixto and gave her a soft smile, picking up her blanket that fell to the floor. 

"For making you worry about nothing."

"It was nothing," he softly reminded her. "Dreams have meaning to us. You dream for nothing, Iris. Remember that." 

Calixto walked closer to Iris' headboard and tapped her pillows.
