Everyone suddenly gasped because of Alexa's cold words, she gave off her aura while creating a barrier so the omegas wouldn't feel her exploding power. It was intentional, a threat to Matthias not to think of her as weak anymore and to hide everything she should have known.

Of course, Matthias was surprised by his mate's behavior, how could he know that he deliberately didn't tell about the stained soul tears that alpha Rudolf had brought for him. He wanted to know the mastermind, but within the tainted soul's memories, there was no one they could identify, other than a figure who bore a resemblance to Alexa.
