Bab 125: Karma (part 2)

It was dusk of the next day Vincenzo showed up again. Maria was surprised to see that Marco who had mounted a night guard in the front of her room wasn't present.

On further investigation, she saw it was because he was in a deep conversation with Vincenzo downstairs. They paused when they caught wind of her but she wasn't having it. 

"What are you both talking about?" She asked despite the fact she knew it had something to do with her.

"I need to talk to you now," Vincenzo said ignoring her question. Marco glared at him fiercely but relented when he saw it wasn't going to do any good.

"I still think she should stay away from all this for at least another week" Marco sighed.

"I don't want to stay away from anything. If this has something to do with me then I should know" Maria maintained stubbornly.

"You heard the lady," Vincenzo said his voice devoid of humor.
