Bab 93: Desire

I came back yesterday to a quiet house. Just as you may have noticed when you came in today. Anyway, Vincenzo was not in, so I decided to take a bath and relax on the balcony. 

That was when I overheard a conversation between Zino and heaven knows who. They were talking about the Vincenzo Maria issue and how it affected everyone. I wasn't actively trying to listen, but it was pretty, so their voices automatically echoed. 

Anyway, she said a word that instantly triggered the memory. She said she was scared that everything would soon come crashing. Immediately the phrase crashing came out. It reverberated and went straight to my brain. 

I fell to my knees and tried to scream, but no sound could come out. It was like I was reliving that very moment again. I remember Maria asking to listen to whatever I was playing with my headset, but I declined. I placed my mum yelling at us to stop the fussing.
