Bab 25: Shame

Dante came to the penthouse soon after to report to Luca about the situation in Philis.

"An unidentified group tried to infiltrate the southern territories. They got one of our seniors and his men hostage."

"What do they want? Why are they messing with our organization?" Luca asked.

"I don't know for sure. I suppose they want to take one of our territories."

"Are you sure it's an unidentified group? Not Protacio's organization?"

"No, I haven't noticed any movement from Protacio. However, I have a gut, Romano, that Pabian is somehow connected to this."

"Do you mean the Pabian Mafia from Maharlica wants to gain possession of our territories in Philis?"

"You know how their organization is doing these days. It's hard for them to smuggle goods now that the new king imposed strict regulations on cargo shipments."

Luca's breathing was ragged and heavy. "So they wanna build a colony in my turf? I'll kill them all before they could lay their hands on my men."
