Bab 30: Wakanda

I have been back home for four days just spending time with Felicia and Harry. I told them after my next trip then I will help them unlock their X-Genes. I'm really excited to see what ability both of them manifest.
In these past four days, I have also been keeping track of what the League is doing. Although I got daily reports it doesn't hurt to check in personally. It seems Yelena and John are taking their adoptive parent roles in stride because every time I see them they are always with the kids like a happy family. It also helps that both of them will become excellent fighters in the future.

I was at first hesitant about taking the role of Shang chi and Xialing's mother but, spending time with them and John has been some of the most fun I have had in a while and certainly made me happier than ever before. I can say without any doubt that joining the League has been the best decision of my life and I will never regret it after all just like Doc says 'Regret is only for the weak and foolish'.
It's funny how a family bet can turn into absolute mayhem. John the kids and I were peacefully making bets on what Doc actually looks like and Bullseye walked in on us and joined then he invited Elektra who invited Caliban who invited Psylocke the cycle repeated itself bringing us to where we are now.
"I bet 10,000 dollars he looks handsome and manly!" Anna shouted
"I match you but I bet he looks ugly!" A random agent yelled
"I bet 10,000 he is young!" Taskmaster said Surprisingly joining in
"Psh I bet he is an ancient oldie!" Someone shouted
"Yeah well, I think he looks like a goblin!" Someone said loudly
"Hehe, who looks like a goblin?" a cold and demonic voice rang out, turning I saw Doc there in all of their creepy glory
"N-o-o-o one s-i-r." The agent that Doc looked like a goblin stuttered out a response
"Oh I see," Doc said and turned around
Wow, it seems like the boss has a soft side for jokes! This is news to me.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!" The same agent screamed
Whipping my head around I saw him squirming in pain
"Tch first-timers always squirm." Taskmaster said
"I know right commander what should we do with him?" An agent by the name of Gerard asked
"Nothing leave him be, I'm sure the pain won't last long." Taskmaster said
Okay maybe I jinxed the poor guy.

I am happy with my life, I have my cute dog sunflower and of course my new family. I didn't expect things to turn out like this when I joined the League but I'm happy they did. Yelena and I are both training the kids, even though Shang chi was reluctant at first because he wants a normal life we had to drill into him that whether he likes it or not this world isn't normal and he needs to be able to protect himself in case he is ever in danger.

It's time for me to leave, my destination Wakanda. I want to steal some of their technology and maybe some vibranium if I'm lucky. The reason I'm so confident I can pull this off is because I noticed that when using my transformation ability now I gain the person I transformed into's habits, language, and posture. Basically, I become them and no one will be able to tell the difference.
I first took a plane to Algeria of course no one knew where I was going then I shadow walked to Burunda more specifically the edge of Burunda. From there I sprinted until I reached the borders of Wakanda. Spotting a border guard I sunk into the shadows and emerged in his. Taking his form while still in my shadow I quickly pulled him into his own shadow and emerged from it at the same time, the process was so fast no one noticed a thing.
After a couple of hours of menial border watching, someone approached me for my shift change.
"Hey Wondeh your shift is over go home take a rest." The man approaching me said
"yes I think I will Owa, have fun." I replied smoothly out of Wondeh's habit
Walking back to Wondeh's felt weird, it was like my body was moving purely out of muscle memory.
After arriving at the man I'm impersonating's house I mentally looked over my plan again. This guards house is in the outer section which isn't very convenient but was as I expected.
I have to find a way to meet Okoye the General of the Dora Milaj, a special forces unit comprised of only women, and, as the General of such forces, Okoye should be able to roam fairly free. I guess that means I will have to play the waiting game.
Following what Wondeh usually does I made some food and went to sleep.
The next couple of days were fairly boring and I've seen no sign of my target. But I'm not too worried I have already set my plans in motion soon the princess should come here or at least some members of the Dora Milaj, I mean If they didn't it would seem like the royal people don't care about the well-being of their citizens. I released a lesser strand of the Coronavirus on a couple of passerby's when walking back to my house. So far a good amount of people have been infected, now I just wait.
It's been a couple of days since the disease spread widely, there hasn't been a single death but my strand is highly contagious. After I got off my shift I saw a couple of people with masks and bodysuits show up with some guards protecting them. It seems like they are researchers from the main cities or something.
One of the lady researchers came up to me and said "sir you work as a guard?"
"Yes, I do. May I ask why you want to know?" I replied
"Well, I was wondering if you have seen anything strange happen at the gates?" She asked
"Hmm, no I haven't is this about the new sickness infecting our people?" I replied with a question of my own sounding concerned
"Yes I am a researcher and I hope to figure out what is affecting our people," she replied in a sad tone
"I wish you luck!" I said sounding relieved she is here to help
"Thank you.. "
"Wondeh Aniba."
"Yes thank you Wondeh Aniba I will try my best," she said before walking away
I didn't get her name but that dosen't really matter now. Getting into my house I imminently went into the shadows and made my way to hers.
Using my mental suggestions I kept saying in her mind

Eventually, she made her way back to what I can only guess is the Wakanda research facility.
This person might be even better to impersonate than General Okoye. I mean she is a low-level person in the facility but that doesn't mean her boss is.
She quickly went off into a bathroom after taking off her protective gear. Right, when she locked the door I knocked her out and took on her appearance.
The lady's name is Abea Zanoku and she is a medium-level researcher in Wakanda. Putting her body into my shadows and at the same time took out the original Wondeh Aniba body still passed out. Shadow walking into his bedroom I plop him into his bed with enough force to wake him.
"Hello Wondeh Aniba you must be confused, I am here because a disease has struck Wakanda and it seems you were the first affected," I said in a grave tone
"Wh-a? Really? All's I remember is darkness. What's going on!" He shouted in his confused state
"Well the disease hit you hard and you passed out for a couple of days because of that," I said
"I see," he replied
" I know this is an uncomfortable situation you are in right now but my name is Abea Zanoku and I was sent by the queen," I said in a caring tone
"Why did the Queen send you?" he asked
"I will tell you but first I have to ask something," I replied smoothly
"Yes anything," he replied
Reaching out my hand for a shake he clasps my forearm. I guess that works too. "Are you loyal to Wakanda?" I asked him
"What type of question is that of course I am!" he shouted Angry that I would even ask that
"well can you say 'I Wondeh Aniba am loyal to the Doctor' for me?" I asked
'Say it'
'Do it'
'Just do it'
I kept putting into his mind.
"Um sure I Wondeh Aniba am loyal to the Doctor." Wondeh said
"Good," I replied strengthening our connection
"Go and act like this never happened." I suddenly said
"Right away boss." Wondeh said Before leaving
Shadow walking back into the bathroom I imminently left.
Walking to Abea Zanoku work station or should I say my work station I started to download all of the files that she had on her computer.
And then I immediately left for her superior's office.
*knock*
*knock*
Knocking twice on the door I awaited her reply.
"Enter."
"What you want Abea? Did you find anything at the origin site?" she asked
"Yes," I replied
"Oh do tell," she said
"Well..." I said faking hesitation
"Spit it out," she said
"Okay." I replied and controlled the shadows to consume her body
Taking her form I pulled out the original Abea and did the same thing I did with Wondeh Aniba, capitalizing on her confusion with a couple of simple mental suggestions she pledged loyalty.
Sending her back to the research she should be doing I left and walked to the weapon/ transportation areas of the facility. Everywhere I went I willed shadows to block the cameras.
Reaching the weapon/ transportation section of the facility I enlarged my shadow and put everything inside.
I then went back to the woman I'm impersonating office pulled her from my shadow and proceeded to give her amnesia and heart cancer.
Abea is close to a promotion and if her boss does she can move up, of course, I had to make sure she died way after they find out the weapons and transportation warehouse has been raided.
*beep*

That sounds like my cue. I shadow walked back to my actual house. Anticipating spending time with Harry and Felicia.
---king T'Chaka pov ---
First, a disease spreads across my lands now a weapon and transportation warehouse were robbed and no one can find any clues. This is getting rather annoying. I have to find whoever dares to steal from Wakanda and end them swiftly. Ulysses Klaue was bad enough now this. Sigh, I'm getting older and older.
"Okoye find the one responsible for this. And do it discretely." I said to my trusted General
"Yes your majesty." Okoye replied

Arriving back home I yell, "I'm back!"
Felicia appeared before me in seconds wrapping me in a huge hug.
"Harrys at peters for the night~," she whispers sensually in my ear
"Oh? You know what that means minx~" I said blowing air into her ear
"Mmm~ yes mmm~ I do," she replied between kisses
Yeah I love my life. Who else can steal from Wakanda and appear home in seconds then be greeted like this? life is a wonderful thing.
