Seeing that Draco went silent as his face turned grim, Emma realized what she just said. Emma swiftly turned his head to Draco with worry in her eyes.

"Oh sorry, I spoiled the mood. Don't worry I'll shut up now." He said awkwardly as she turned her head back to the front.

Another silence engulfed the car ride. Emma just awkwardly tapped her fingers on her lap as she mentally scolded herself for suddenly bringing the mood down. As she was mentally cursing herself with her eyes closed and head down. Draco spoke.

"You are not gonna die. None of us are gonna fucking die. I'll make goddamn sure of it. We are gonna attend our graduation and we are gonna live the best of our shitty lives."

Upon hearing Draco's long declaration, Emma stared at him with wide eyes. Having disbelief in what he said. But later on, a suppressed smile formed on Emma's face.
