The moon was hidden behind clouds, and it was late into the night.

Asher Harrington still hadn't returned, and Selena Flores was worried. She put on her clothes, ready to head out, but just as she reached the foyer, the door opened with a response.

Selena's face lit up with joy, "You're back."

Asher seemed to need a moment to react, holding a baseball bat in his hand, standing still, his eyes piercing. Suddenly, they locked onto Selena, filled with intensity.

"Why are you back so late?" Selena asked with worry, "Why didn't you answer your phone?"

He continued to stare at her.

As she approached, she caught a whiff of alcohol, "Have you been drinking?"

Suddenly, he let go of the bat. It clattered to the ground with a thud, but he didn't bother to pick it up. Instead, he opened his arms to embrace Selena, burying his head in her neck, then let out a heavy sigh, "Yeah, I have."

Selena steadied him with her hands, fearing he might not be able to stand straight, "Are you drunk?"
