She gritted her teeth, "She's just crazy."

The elevator arrived.

Wyatt glanced at Averi's hand, his voice cold, "You don't need to tell me what kind of person she is."

It was past seven o'clock, and Wyatt hadn't returned yet. Rae had ordered takeout on her own. Just as she was about to clean up the food containers on the table, she heard the door open.

"Wyatt!"

She ran to the foyer, where Wyatt was hanging up an umbrella.

She rushed over and hugged him, tilting her head up with a beaming smile, "You're back."

"Have you eaten?"

"I have."

She clung to Wyatt's neck, not noticing the bloodstain on the sleeve of his sweatshirt.

Wyatt naturally took her hand, touched that part of the sleeve, and led her towards the room.
