Bab 13: Chapter 13

Somehow, the snow kept coming. The next day was a complete white-out, and I was starting to really grow concerned. Even when the snow stopped, it would still take a while before anyone could get the roads cleared.

After breakfast, we headed to the library. We were about to enter when we heard voices from within and slowed.

"I don't think the mountain can take much more snow."

"I heard it hasn't come down like this in the last seventy years."

"I'm getting scared."

Two housekeepers came out of the library, blushed, and promptly rushed past us.

"Holy shit," Dan said, licking his lips.

With wide eyes, I shoved them into the room and we fell into a couch.

"Holy shit," he repeated.

I nodded. "We're probably going to die."

Ava elbowed me. "Shut up, Ryann."

I let out a laugh I didn't feel. I didn't know how to handle the fear gripping my chest. My stomach felt like I'd swallowed a rock. What would happen when the mountain had had enough?
