"It's just a little cut." Rowan shook his head.
Mara stared down at his newly bandaged arm, eyes glinting with curiosity. She chewed on her lip and leaned closer. Her desire to unwind the gauze and inspect the wound herself was written all over her face.
Rowan pulled his arm away from her, just in case. "It should be fine for now…Ozul wrapped it for me."
"How thoughtful of him." Wren's voice was flat. "And naturally he just so happened to stumble upon you here alone in the middle of the woods."
Ozul didn't respond, once again falling silent in that unnatural way of his that made it seem as if he wasn't there at all.
Wren stopped glaring at Ozul and switched instead to pretending like he was non-existent even though the Shadow Being stood directly in his line of sight. He turned his full attention to Rowan.
