"Let me go," Rowan said. "I can't take any more of this."
Wren smiled. "No."
"I wish you would listen to me."
"I am listening to you. I hear exactly what you want from me. I'm just having a hard time believing you are ready to admit it. Forgive me for thinking this is still an illusion."
"I'm not an illusion, and you know it. You are just being very difficult right now."
"I know what you were thinking when I asked about your shirt." Wren stepped closer. "Did you see what I want to do to him for calling you an abomination? If he says it in reality, I really will rip his tongue out and make him swallow it. I promise I will never hurt you, and I won't allow you to hurt yourself either. Not with words. Not with thoughts. I will take all of those poisoned ideas you have about yourself and burn them away, and I will fill you with brand new thoughts that are more befitting of you."
"I don't understand why you always say such things."
Sigh. I'm sure things didn't go as far as you'd hoped, but I think (hope) it was still pretty hot. Trust me, once Rowan gets over his remaining nervousness, he's going to learn to ask for exactly what he wants. This was a lot for him to handle all at once. I hope you enjoyed the progress they've made. See you soon.
