Bab 98: Party

Mandy's Diary Today

            "Mommy, calm down, I'm fine." I laughed at Mom's worried tone on the phone. About half an hour he called on my cell phone after hearing the news that I had fallen and sprained my leg a bit—thankfully now that the pain has subsided, I don't want to come to the Bedingtons party with a limp.

            "Yes… I can take care of myself. What?" My pitch rose half an octave when Steve was mentioned. "No! No need! Just leave him at home! I don't want Steve here and messing up my day with his annoying behavior!" I snorted in annoyance. Mom said she'd send Steve here to take extra care of me. I just don't want him to be annoying here, that's all.

            It seems my request was not granted, Mom. He didn't want to know whether or not I agreed with his decision to send Steve here.
