Bab 14: Chpater 13 - King Martin V
-King Martin POV-
My name is Martin, King of Ocavirin kingdom and father of 4. 3 princes and one princess, I try being the best father I can, but sometimes work comes in the way so I couldn't be there for them most of the time.
I spend most of my free time with them, but it isn't enough, I know 3 of my children are doing fine, they have close friends, but one of my sons is always alone. I tried getting him friends, but he just refuses, saying that they aren't real friends, and when he tries getting friends it never works out.
I was always worried for him, but one day a few weeks ago, there was a change with him. He seemed happy and kept smiling all the time, and it wasn't a fake smile, but a genuine smile.
Seeing him so happy, made me happy but also interested. After all, in those few weeks he wasn't home, he wasn't even in the capital, I thought that he might have gotten a partner, from how happy he always looked and him being away, so today I decided to follow him and meet my new daughter.
"Stop"
I was currently on a magic carriage following my son's carriage. Thankfully, I learned some rune magic, so I was able to put runes to hide my carriage.
"What is this place?"
For some reason, my son stopped in the forest and started walking to a building, there was a sign saying {Game maker coffee shop}
"Is this where my new daughter works?"
I thought that this shop might be where my son's partner might be working. I saw him enter it and so I started following him inside.
As soon as I entered I almost dropped to my knees.
"What kind of magic is this?"
The inside was huge. Compared to my palace, this is small. But what shocked me was that outside was around the size of a small store, but the inside is many times bigger. There are expansion runes, it goes under space rune magic and I even have some in my vault, but this is behind this, even the strongest expansion runes are 3 times the size, but this is dozens if not hundreds of times the size of the building.
"It seems there is a newcomer"
"Yeah, I remember the first time I entered this place, I almost peed myself from shock"
I heard people talking, snapping me out of my shock. I looked around to see hundreds of people walking around and hundreds of people sleeping in chairs in front of some weird rectangle that gives out light.
"Do you need help?"
I looked to the side and saw a man walking towards me.
"Huh? Yes, what is that thing?"
I asked while pointing my finger at one of those weird rectangles.
"Those are called computer screens"
"Computer screens?"
"Yes, that thing is a computer screen, they are connected to a thing called computer"
"What is a computer?"
"It is a device that allows you to experience a different world called a game"
"What?!"
I was doubting my ears. Experience a different world?
"Yes, I know it sounds crazy, I didn't believe it at first either. So I went to try it and it was true, there is a game called CS:GO and it lets you experience being a soldier or a terrorist in a different world with weapons called guns"
At that moment I felt my brain overloading, this is the craziest thing I have heard in my whole life.
"You can try it for yourself. It just costs 1 silver per hour."
"Just 1 silver?!"
I shouted in surprise, if what he says is true, then you can experience a different world for just 1 silver. I started doubting what he is saying, after all, a silver is almost nothing. And what he is saying is too crazy to be so cheap.
"It is true, I don't think there is anyone who wasn't surprised with that price. Honestly, I'm willing to pay all of my salary just for one hour never mind a silver"
"Is it that amazing?"
"Yes!! CS:GO is the most amazing thing in this world!!"
The man startled me when he started shouting, but as a king I got back to normal in less than a second.
While we were talking suddenly someone shouted.
"Guys, look over there"
He was pointing to a wall with a sign saying {Login to 'Theater' on the computer to watch GMsports}.
"What is GMsports?"
I asked the man.
"GMsports is a competition between the best teams of CS:GO, it was announced a month ago and it is finally going to happen today"
The man replied excitedly.
"What does Login mean?"
The man looked at me after I said that and told me to follow him, and so I did. We walked into a counter with a weird looking machine, but compared to my kingdom's machines this one looked a lot better.
"Insert a few silver coins there"
The man told me while pointing to small opening on the machine, after I put the silver coins inside it, I got a card that says {54 Hour computer pass}
"You are pretty rich"
The man said to me and then told me to follow him again, on the way he explained to me about the computer, and every second I was listening I got a new shock.
"Is it real?"
"Yes, like I said before, everyone is shocked when they come for the first time. Some even thought they were inside of a dream"
After that we kept walking to look for an empty computer and so we found two empty computers next to each other.
"Okay, put the pass there"
I followed the instruction and put the card inside of a weird looking device, when I put the card in, it started sucking the card inside it.
"What is this?"
"This is called a card machine, after you put it in, it will let you use the computer for the amount of time that the card has. Without a card the computer won't work"
"I see"
He then helped me make something called a steam account. He asked me for a name so I called myself, I have a new daughter.
"Alright, see you on the other side"
He said and click on play with my hand.
Darkness. That is the only word that could describe this, total darkness.
'Am I dead?'
I started wondering if I was assassinated, if so this is the most creative assassination attempt in my whole life and the first and also last to succeed it seems.
'I also completely forgot about the reason I got here, didn't I follow my son to meet my new daughter? Because of all the shock I completely forgot about it.
When I started thinking about it, I got sad.
'I wanted to see him get married and have some cute grandchildren'
Suddenly I saw light.
'What is going on'
I was blinded by the light and when I opened my eyes I saw myself in a lobby with a lot of different people.
