Bab 591: Wishful Thinking

On account of Qiao Mei, Qiao Qiang did not want to argue with Chen Hu about these issues anymore. After all, Chen Hu had also been tricked by the Liang siblings.

When Qiao Mei saw that Qiao Qiang did not say anything, she knew that her grandfather had forgiven Chen Hu.

"Grandfather, why don't you go to the backyard and kill a big goose. I have a craving for goose," Qiao Mei said.

Qiao Qiang nodded and went to the backyard to get one. It used to be Qiao Mei doing these chores, but now that she was pregnant, she could not do such gory stuff.

The villagers had told Qiao Qiang that it would be too inauspicious, so Qiao Qiang had been doing this type of chores ever since.

"Let me do it!" Chen Hu volunteered.

Qiao Mei pressed Chen Hu down on the chair and said, "It's fine. Let my grandfather do it. We don't do much farming now and there's not much work to do. It's good for him to get some exercise."
