But when the apocalypse hit, two more giant continents appeared up above it. The northern pole wasn't located near the northern lands from here. And one of these two continents belonged to the Dragons.

And with deep pockets, Dragons managed to purchase the allegiance of the Selvators, making them join this war in the last years of it as their allies.
