Bab 121: Chapter CXXI - The First War (2)

"Merac!!" Marcus shouted once more, "Surrender now, and you won't have to suffer the humiliation of being beaten by such a small group!"

Merac's face turned three shades red at the goading, "You think we will simply roll over and give in to your demands?!? You are more of a fool than I took you for!" He shouted back, and in anger, he yelled, "GET HIM, BOYS!!"

A dozen men rushed past Merac clad in full heavy plate armor. They held their shields in front of them with their swords raised above their heads.

Marcus smirked as his eyes darted between his assaulters, which caused Merac's confidence to drain from his face.

Marcus raised Replica above his head as white particles floated around him. They converged into his sword, which began to emit a bright light. Energy began to expel from Marcus as a powerful gust of wind hit everyone halting their advance.
