Lobana remained standing only by sheer willpower, although every fiber of her body screamed for rest. The magic that had once sustained her vanished with Sahari's fall, leaving her vulnerable. The searing pain from her wound spread throughout her body, mingling with the fever burning through her veins, but she refused to give in.

Dizzy, panting, and with her vision blurred, she searched the surroundings urgently, looking for a way out of the situation in which she and Sahari found themselves, trying at the same time to conceal her weakness. But there was nothing she could do.

On the other side, Luana, with the swords still in hand, watched the young girl carefully.
