“Eleonore, get away from that man.” For obvious reasons, I did not like the woman currently in front of me.

I narrowed my eyes at her as Eleonore moved slightly in my grasp, but she didn’t move away from me like the woman requested. Something I was grateful for. The woman had arrived not too long after my brother, and I had.

Logan had heard from Amanda that Bastian had come to see Eleonore, and although we had enlisted his help in protecting Eleonore, we were still cautious of him. So as soon as we had heard the news, the two of us, both Hayden and I, rushed over to Eleonore’s place.

When we got here, and she wasn’t answering the doorbell or her phone, we decided to use the spare key she kept on top of her door, and that was when we found both her and Bastian in that trance-like state.
