Bab 162: The day of Coronation Banquet
When Sienna woke up, Sarcos was holding her tight in his arms. Sienna cuddled up to her strongest king. Sarcos felt so warm and reassuring! She purred as a cat and kissed his chest."Sarcos, good morning, "she smiled she inhaled the intoxicating scent of his body.
Sarcos ran his hand through her hair. "I love you so much, Sienna." He opened his dark sparkly eyes. Sienna smiled and nudged him with her head to his ribs. Sarcos chuckled. "Are you changing to a tiger or a cat?" he said jokingly.
"Neither, you know I'm only human, "Sienna whispered a bit moaningly. She wanted his attention. "But if I can change into a tiger, maybe I would have already eaten you for my breakfast." she tried to bite his hard stomach abs to provoke him a bit!
Sarcos pulled her head gently from under the blanket."It is such a pity you are so busy today! I will have to show you who is the master of the tigers later!" he chuckled.
Sienna bit her lips to hide her guilty smile and tried to pull her head out of his hands, but he did not let go, so she was stuck!
Sarcos looked at her kind of seriously."Go get ready my love, you need to keep eye on Gaius to make his crowning ceremony good, you are to be his companion queen for today."
"What do you mean by that?" Sienna asked a bit worried.
Sarcos chuckled."As a sign of friendship, you are to accompany Gaius during his ceremony and have a first dance with him as he lacks the queen yet."Sarcos said.
Sienna sighed in relief and nodded." I will do my best."She slid off the bed and started to get ready. Sarcos watched her beautiful figure dressing up from the bed. He placed his hands behind his head and relaxed as if he wanted to stay in that bed all day.
Sienna finished arranging a long blue gown on her and glanced at him a bit worriedly."Are you resting today my love?"
"Yes," Sarcos said lazily, "I will see you tonight."
"Did you get tired from guarding me?"Sienna chuckled.
Sarcos's scorpion flamed in his eyes, but he did not say anything, just smiled and nodded.
"Rest my love then, you deserve it."Sienna checked her hair in the mirror one last time, kissed Sarcos's lips and went to find Gaius.
Sarcos waited for a bit and then he stood up slowly. He got dressed and went to find a quiet place on top of a wide tree in the wetland wilderness. He wanted to talk to his Flaming Scorpion and get him ready for the fight!
Sienna found Gaius in the Throne Room; he was preparing the decor and ordering people around. He smiled at her excitedly and show her his ideas for decorations. Most of them were made of wines, long wetland grass, tree leaves, flowers and goldened wild crocodile skins tassels. It was a bit tribal, but Gaius's people were kind of rough anyway, so it suited them. Sienna was happy to help around and make the place nice with him, so she helped Gaius till late afternoon.
Gaius kept glancing at Sienna, she was the soft woman, he missed around him. He bit his lips a bit hard as he watched her arrange the flowers around the tables. When he noticed it is getting late, he went to his room to pick a gift for her.
Sienna meanwhile finished the decorations and sent everyone to get ready, when Gaius came back. He gave her a neatly packed packet." Please, wear it for today's ceremony with me. It will be so great if our clothes match!" he said excitedly.
Sienna looked at him a bit worriedly and opened the packet. A beautiful green and golden gown appeared. Sienna smiled and nodded."Thank you, Gaius, I will surely wear it, I really like this gown." she bit her lips a bit.
Gaius furrowed his brows." Is there something you don't like?" he asked seriously.
Sienna looked at him with a bit guilty cute face." I was worried for a moment you wanted me to wear matching armour with yours."She blushed and chuckled innocently.
Gaius's face lit up in relief, he watched her giggle and started to laugh too. "You will surely look lovely in armour as well!"He chuckled. He took her back to her room. "I will see you later, get ready, Sienna," he let her go at the door.
"Thank you, see you soon Gaius,"Sienna whispered and run in to get ready.
Sienna had a quick bath and put on the gold and green gown from Gaius. She was fixing her hair when Sarcos came into the room. He was in his shiny scorpion armour. Sienna wondered where he got it, but she did not ask.
"You are so beautiful my queen."Sarcos nodded approvingly and twirled Sienna around.
"So are you!"Sienna smiled sweetly and clenched to his strong arm. She felt the butterflies in her stomach. They walked together to the Temple Gate, where the procession started. Sienna felt a bit nervous when she saw the golden pyramid, but Sarcos was right next to her. She also noticed Gaius was waiting for her with a subtle smile on his wild face to start the coronation procession.
Sarcos led Sienna to Gaius."As a sign of friendship with Scorpion nation you might walk with my queen." he smiled kindly and lifted Sienna's hand on his hand's palm to Gaius.
Gaius nodded his head." Let's our nations work together and prosper." he said sincerely and reach his hand to take Sienna's. Sarcos looked at Sienna and she put her hand into Gaius's open palm. He held his hand in the air with Sienna's hand on top of his like the kings and queens in Sienna's old world.
Sienna took a quiet breath and looked at Gaius. He lifted his other hand and the procession moved.
Sienna glanced at Gaius as they walked slowly. He looked good as the Crocodile King, in light green and golden armour he looked happy and proud. Sienna smiled softly walking next to him. He walked confidently and held her hand gently. His hand was strong and warm. Sienna stared at it a bit and she had to agree in her head that Gaius was truly handsome.
Sarcos walked from Gaius's other side a bit apart and Bran was walking behind Sienna. His job was to guard her at all times. Ramse and Xander decided to wait in the Throne Room. They only wanted to dance with Sienna really!
Sarcos watched as Sienna walked next to Gaius, as a friendly nation's queen."My queen is so beautiful. They actually look good together!" his Flaming Scorpion lit up a bit in his mind."Shush, they are just friends and I will keep it that way, "Sarcos smiled in his head calming the jealous scorpion!"You better do!"The scorpion still raged a bit." Or you can fight by yourself." he threatened. Sarcos sighted in his mind."Enjoy today till you can, I hope this body can survive our big fight!"
When the procession came to the Throne Room, Gaius sat on the big Crocodile Throne and sat Sienna on the smaller decorated chair next to him as a symbol of friendship. Sienna could not sit by his feet as she was not his queen. Sarcos stood on the side and watched.
The neighbouring kings, city officials and wealthy merchants came to greet the new king first and show him their respect. Gaius listened to them patiently and accepted their gifts and greetings. He tried to compose himself kingish as Sienna sat next to him.
Sienna looked beautiful and innocent, she greeted people, talked to other kings and tried hard to help Gaius to establish good relations. Gaius invited all neighbouring kings as Sarcos told him. Sienna was a bit surprised by Gaius's neighbours!
The Bullfrog King looked like a massive half-goblin; his skin got a green tint and his face was really warty, but his big eyes shone brightly as golden balls with copper lines in them. Sienna tried to look just into his eyes and greet him kindly. The king looked at Gaius."Pity she is not your queen, as good neighbours, we could share!" the bullfrog licked his wide lips.
Sienna was sure he would not change into a prince Charming even after hundred kisses! She felt the golden eyes stare at her hungrily and felt a bit vulnerable. She kept the smile on her face and tried to ignore his comment. Just the chicken skin on her arms showed her feeling clearly.
Luckily the White Lizard King approached to greet Gaius as well and the Bullfrog King retreated reluctantly. The White Lizard King was pale and slim, dressed in a long white robe, lean and elegant; he looked almost like an ethereal elf. He bowed lightly to Sienna and Gaius. He stared at Sienna's pale face and cold bare arms with a cheeky smile."Don't take him too seriously, we know the queen is your dear friend. We can't be so greedy and take her away from you. We would not cause the trouble for the new Crocodile King!" he smiled sweetly, but Sienna felt the cold aerie coming from him. He was surely dangerous!
"That is for sure! We are to be good friends!" the burly Parrot King joined the White Lizard King in his speech. The Parrot King wore colourful clothes. He had dark skin and red long hair in dreads. His eyes were changing like a rainbow. Sienna couldn't help but stare into his eyes. The Parrot King smiled in his head."Even the Sarcos's queen is attracted by my colours."
The Lizard King noticed that Sienna stares into Parrot King's eyes and smiled cheekily. He nudged the Parrot King's elbow and they went together to stand in the crowd. The Bullfrog King was waiting for them. The three of them stood together and watched Gaius with Sienna talking to people who came to greet them.
"Will you join me?"The Bullfrog King suddenly asked.
The White Lizard King shook his head. "I'm not sharing with you. I'm for myself."
The Parrot King shook his head too."I have a queen already in mind, but I could have a taste of this one too."He chuckled.
The Bullfrog King bit his lips."Up to you then!"
"Don't mention it!" The two other kings nodded.
After the talks and receiving gifts, Gaius started the fun and dancing officially. He stood up and offered Sienna his hand. Sienna smiled and took it gracefully. She glanced at Sarcos's face and went with Gaius to the middle of the room. Soft music started to play and Gaius danced with Sienna his first dance as an independent king. Sienna was pleasantly surprised by the gentle music at the Crocodiles banquet. Gaius held her tight, but respectively, he led her with ease and Sienna just followed in his steps.
Gaius was confident, proud and happy. Sienna smiled at him and looked into his dark green eyes, "You are finally the king you are destined to be. I'm so happy you are my friend."
"I wish I could be more!"Gaius smirked at her a bit provocatively.
Sienna tried to be sensitive to his feelings."You know my situation. I prefer you as my friend, so we can have relaxed moments like this one."She said carefully.
Gaius bit his lips in dissatisfaction."Don't you like me as a man?"
"You are very handsome, but you have lots of work on strengthening your kingdom and making it great."Sienna said gently.
Gaius seemed thinking a bit but said nothing. Sienna pressed his shoulder lightly. "I'm troubled queen, my kings work a lot to keep me well," She smiled a bit sadly. "I would not like to keep you waiting. You need to make your life great and happy with or without me."
Gaius looked into her blue eyes and pressed her hand inside of his. He understood what she meant. "If I become strong and powerful, I can talk to Sarcos again." Gaius thought and smiled a bit sadly.
Sienna noticed and tried to cheer him up a bit."Let's just enjoy the dance Gaius, it is your big day." she smiled. Gaius nodded and led her to dance lightly around the room.
When the song finished, he took her back to Sarcos. He needed to show him respect as to the strongest friendly king present.
Sarcos took Sienna to dance. He held her tight like an iron ring."You look so dashing my love, I can't wait to have you tonight," he licked his lips seductively. Sienna blushed. She squeezed his hand lightly and felt the exciting energy current pass thru her body. Sarcos was making her hot and a bit trembling. Sarcos saw her reaction and his lips curled up victoriously. Sienna enjoyed dancing with Sarcos, she felt at home in his arms and the time flew fast like a winged horse.
When the song finished, Xander approached them respectfully. The lean Panther King was excited to dance with Sienna. Sarcos gave him a knowing look and went to talk to Ramse, who was watching them with furrowed brows. He looked worried.
Xander took Sienna to dance; his hungry eyes seemed to drink from her face. Sienna smiled a bit shy."Xander, are you hungry?"
Xander shook his head."Only for you, my little dove."
Sienna took a deep breath and tried to change the conversation."Why did you come to the wetland in the first place?"
"To help you of course! How could we let you be away for so long? Besides, we were thinking to help Sarcos to take you back, even if he will rescue you by himself. We are friends now, no?" he smiled with his perfect shiny smile.
"Yes," Sienna smiled sweetly, but she sensed the hungry predator behind that cute smile."Friends!"
Xander led Sienna lightly. She felt his big hand on her back. It was strong and warm. Sienna felt somehow comfortable with Xander. She was just not able to keep guard from him. She felt his inner strength increased again. He was not that wild prince anymore. He was king of his people now. She looked into his handsome face and saw the smallish stars in his dark eyes.
" Xander, are you mesmerizing me?" she asked him half-jokingly.
"Just a little bit. I want you to think of me before you go to sleep tonight."Xander chuckled.
Sienna bit her lips."I'm most likely not sleeping tonight." she glanced at Sarcos knowingly.
Sienna felt that Xander's hands became stern. The smile disappeared from his face in instant." I do not mind about Sarcos, he is your strongest king, and you need him. But I will be your mate one day too and I will make you think about me before you go to sleep." he whispered kind of hard to her.
Sienna felt like an anxious wave of sweetness passed thru her body and got stuck in her heart. It was a promise and a threat in one.
Sienna swallowed hard."Leave it to fate Xander...You know, I will not oppose you."She said a bit obediently, a bit submissive and looked into his sparkly dark eyes. Xander made her heart flutter and her breathing stop.
Xander pressed her hand gently and a cheeky smile graced his handsome face. He just felt like the king of the world."What a good girl you are." he chuckled and pressed her body tighter to him."You are a jar of sweet honey and I will drink it fully." he licked his lips seductively.
Sienna took a deep breath. Xander created such tension between them it started to be visible. Just then the song finished. Xander let go of Sienna a bit reluctantly. Sienna breathed out to calm down a bit when she saw Ramse standing right next to her!
Ramse wanted to take Sienna to dance as well. He felt the sweet tension between Xander and Sienna and furrowed his brows."Go talk to Sarcos, Xander the Cute mesmeriser!"He said between his teeth.
Xander chuckled and went. Sienna looked into Ramse's grumpy face and sobered up a bit. She bit her lips nervously and took his hand as if in trance."Can you smile a bit, please? You look scary." Sienna asked the grumpy king.
"This is my face," Ramse smirked at her, but his expression lightened up. It kind of felt good to startle her! He held her back and hand ready to dance. He felt Sienna is still hot from Xander, so he pressed Sienna's body closer to him and held her tighter."How nice to have you all hot and blushed in my arms. "he smiled a bit cheekily.
Sienna took a deep breath and looked at Ramse's face. He was handsome but still had a cruel and hard expression. Just in his deep grey eyes shone a little bit of kindness finally too!
Sienna stared and swallowed hard. Ramse pressed her hand gently, and whispered to her ear." So would you accept us with Xander together?" he smirked at her."We bought you the same time after all."
Sienna flinched a bit."You know it is not just up to me," she bit her lips.
"Sarcos is not against me," Ramse pressed her even tighter to him.
"But Sharchan and Tyrell, yes."Sienna looked at him bit bewildered. Her tiger eyes shone brightly.
Ramse looked hard into her face."Tell me how it is straight!"
"I oppose you."Sienna looked at him."I won't accept you as my mate!"
"You hate me so much?"Ramse face hardened up and he squeezed Sienna's back a bit painfully. Sienna saw the huge white ape in her mind for a moment!
"No, as a man you are bearable, I can have you as a friend, if you agree."She said startled.
"I agree for now", Ramse said thinking."To give you a chance to fall in love with me."
"Thank you."Sienna sighted.
Ramse nodded."If Sarcos is not my friend, I will take you and lock you up till you agree on me."Ramse looked at her provocatively.
"How sweet, "Sienna smiled bitterly."Are you my friend or enemy then?"
"I guess frienemy then," Ramse smiled."I will be near you, protect you and help you, but don't you push me far or my revenge will be cruel," he said hardly.
"Cruel? Why do you always say that you will be cruel to me?" Sienna hissed with a cringed nose in dissatisfaction at him.
"He doesn't know what cruel is." the voice freezing as ice whispered behind Sienna to her ear. Sienna felt the chicken skin come up to her shoulders and her breath get stuck in her lungs. The voice was cold like from the deepest grave...
"King Mathyas."Ramse stared behind her.
"Can I cut in for my promised dance?"The strong Mathyas's hand pulled Sienna from Ramse's embrace. Ramse let her go politely. He did not want to provoke the King of the Underworld.
"Welcome king Mathtyas," Ramse smiled."We were expecting you."
