Bab 67: Dance of the spider
Sienna had to stay in the unguarded room and she was terrified. She figured out the safest place is close to the king's quarters, so she covered her head in the colourful veil and followed behind the concubines who went dancing for the king. She was curious to watch the dance the concubines were preparing so eagerly. She hid in the corner of the room they entered, behind a huge pam tree in a pot. She watched them as the music started. The concubines danced in front of the king covered in the light veils when he suddenly changed into a massive spider and took one of them with his long hairy legs. He covered her in his spiderwebs leaving only her face out and then he sank his fangs to her stomach. The other concubines kneeled in front of him, moving in the swaying motion, offering themself with soft movement of their arms luring him in. Sienna stood in the corner and watched in horror with her hand over her mouth. He slowly took all of them and they all lay motionless on the floor in the long line . The purple stains shone brightly on their spiderwebs-covered bodies. Only their faces stuck out with a weird expression of happiness on them.
Thurssa suddenly noticed Sienna was watching him and he moved toward her. She slipped out of the door and ran like crazy from the huge spider. She pushed anyone in her way so strongly, that even some guards fell in surprise. Sienna ran to the gardens and was about to climb down the castle walls, when Thurssa remembered she is probably scared of his spider look and changed to his human form. He started to climb after her. Even in his human form, he was so much faster than Sienna. He caught up with her in a few seconds. Sienna saw he is getting her, so she let go of the stones and slide down the sharp rock. Thurssa leapt and caught her in the air. Sienna felt his iron-like embrace and tears come to her eyes. He is going to kill her now. Thurssa looked at the terrified golden female in his hands. He could kill her with one flick. But there was no other like her and he had to have her. He climbed back into the gardens, holding her shaking body tightly. He dropped her on the soft cushions in one of his gazebos. Sienna curled up and hid behind the cushions. He reached his hand for her face. She shut her eyes tight and tears were flowing down her cheeks. She was trapped. "Oh, lala, why are you so scared little queen? I told you I will not harm you, my precious darhling. I'm risking a war just because I like you so much. Am I not tragic in my love? To love the one so wanted, the dark death approach the city, on the wings of my love, the twilight break the night."
Sienna opened her eyes slowly. His face was dangerously close to her." You killed your own concubines." she sobbed.
"No, my darhling, they are well, I will show them to you. I just made them immortal to preserve their beauty."
Sienna flinched."He is a vampire! I'm dead. He killed them." She screamed in her head.
"I will take you to see them right now, if you don't believe me. "He smiled charmingly."You will see what nobody else did." He whispered.
Sienna was frozen with fear. She stared at him with wide-open eyes. Thurssa stood up and offered her his hand to help her up. Sienna was thinking she is going to her death and refused to move. Thurssa smiled patiently and pick her up into his arms. He left the gardens fast, walking with her into the underground of his castle.
He took Sienna to huge rooms complex underground in his castle. There were luxurious golden rooms full of golden items, It led to a theatre-like hall. Hundreds of spiderwebs-dressed concubines were standings stuck out on the spiderwebs with huge blood veins-like features which covered the walls. They were positioned like spectators for the king. The concubines looked like a sleeping army. Sienna watched in horror. When Thurssa passed around them closer, they opened their bloody red eyes and moved their hands forwards to him in the calling notion, luring Thurssa in with a swaying hands-only dance." Take me, take me." their whispering voices rustled. Sienna was so terrified she held Thurrsa's neck tight and leaned on his chest closing her eyes in horror. She hoped he will not lock her in that room if she stick close to him. Thurssa was pleased, he understood her closeness like she liked his weird immortal harem. Thurssa felt excited and the concubines make him feel hungry. He brought Sienna to the next room. It was a bedroom with settees. He dropped pale Sienna on one of the settees." Please don't leave me here." she begged with pleading eyes." Ahh, silly darhling, just wait for me here. I will be with you shortly." he smiled and locked the door from outside. The room had no other doors and Sienna felt trapt. She scanned the walls for a secret entrance, anything to go away. She found one decoration on the wall which moved, the small corridor opened, but it lead just to the watch seat to the theatre where Thurrssa was. Sienna peeked carefully thru the metallic decorated bars in the small window. She saw how Thurssa changed his form into an enormous spider and started to gather the immortal concubines near him. He plucked them off the huge spiderweb as plump cherries. The concubines kneeled down and did their weird luring him in dance. Thurssa picked one and sank his fangs inside her stomach to drink from her. Sienna watched in horror as the concubine's web-covered body sunken almost into a thin leaf. Only her face was unchanged and her red eyes closed in an expression of ecstasy. He took his fangs out of her body and stuck her back to the huge spiderweb. The vein around her started bulging and the concubine's body became to fill again. Her face was still smiling sweetly. Sienna averted her eyes. Thurssa was sinking his fangs inside bodies of his concubines feeding on the bloody liquid from their bellies . The concubines lay motionlessly with frozen eternal smiles on their faces. Sienna counted he drank from around six of them and he was still hungry.
Sienna touched her forehead, "The spiders will eat you alive..." The Sharchan's words echoed in her mind. The concubines were not immortal. They were his private food reserve. Sienna felt sick to her stomach. She buried her head in her hands unable to watch more and went to the other room. She sat on the bed weeping quietly till she curled into a ball and fell asleep. When Thurrssa finished, Sienna was already sleeping. He sat down on the chair next to the bed and watched her sleeping, listening to her heartbeat and deep breathing, digesting his feed. He felt so pleasant and peaceful.
When morning came and Sienna opened her eyes, her first sight was on the Spider King nonchalantly resting in his armchair."Was he watching me sleep?" Sienna thought. Then the pictures from the night before came to her mind and she felt sick. Her head was spinning dizzily as she sat on the bed. Thurssa spotted notion and was watching her with interest."Oh, lala my darhling, you are so pale, let me take you to the harem to recuperate."
"No," Sienna shook her head."Don't leave me." She pleaded. Thurssa looked at her with curiosity. Why did she change her mind? She pleaded with him twice already to stay with her. She tried to run yesterday and now she likes him? Was it perhaps how he rescued her heroically? Or his poem of love? He felt elated. He stood up and picked Sienna princess style."Let me take you to rest in my rooms. You will be safe there my darhling."Sienna let her head fall on his shoulder. She was trapped with a killer vampire king. She needed to act weak, poetic and pretend well to survive, till Sarcos come to save her. He was the only one able to fight these spiders. Well, maybe Sharchan will be able too, but Tyrell will just get trapt. The tears filled her eyes as Thurssa dropped her on the bed in one of his rooms.
" Will you visit me often?" She pleaded."I'm scared without you. My heart is drowning in darkness and sorrows when you are out of my sight."
Thurssa nodded with a smile on his thin lips."Stay in this toom for now, but then you need to live in my harem. That is the rule here. Also, I had to curb your freedom, my darhling, you tried to escape from me and it will be war now. King Sarcos came to destroy the city, so I need to hold you close. " Sienna touched her forehead theatrically."Return me to him then my glorious king and save the city." the tears flowing from her cheeks. Thurssa wiped her tears with silken tissue."He will not attack while you are here." he stand up and left.
