Bab 38: The roses and Sharchan's revenge
Sienna went out of the door smiling. She looked like a golden sun and everyone stared at her. She was breathtakingly beautiful.
"Sharchan, thank you I had a lot of fun," she smiled and went to hug his neck and give him a kiss. He looked cold and distant, and before she could come close to him, Sharchan showed her the flowers, "For you my queen!" and tossed them coldly at her feet. The beautiful bouquet unravelled around Sienna on the floor .
Ziran who watched Sienna closely hid his anger." This day is going bad to worse." he thought.
Sienna looked at Sharchan and saw a cold face. This was so humiliating! She noticed all people on the street gazed at her. The males staring at her were almost laughing and the females were having satisfying glitter in their eyes. "So much to be a queen with a tyrant like this."Sienna could almost hear their thoughts. Sienna wanted to scream at Sharchan, to wake him up, to be normal again, but that will just make him angrier and it will show her as a weak screaming lady.No, she must do something better!
Sienna straightened up, lift her head high, and smiled sweetly."Such beautiful flowers, thank you, my king. How did you know roses are my favourite?"She crouched down, picked the roses with a smile and made a beautiful bouquet from them. She took her time and did it really slow, enjoying Sharchan's cold stares. His queen is picking flowers in the dust, that should embarrass him a bit. Then she found the last flower with a broken stem, so, she put it in her hair, making her even more alluring. Then she come to Sharchan with a worried face and touched his hands. "What a horribly strong wind must come, my king, that this amazing bouquet flew out of your hands. Are you feeling well my love? You should rest with me tonight." She lovingly caressed his cheek.
Ziran thought he would explode and was suppressing his laughter hardly. Everybody watching was shocked. She humiliated Sharchan without screaming and gracefully called him weak...The queen is so witty. She did not lower herself at all even she picked up flowers from the floor. The onlookers did not know what to say. Sharchan was red in face. He looked at Ziran angrily." You have a week off Lord Ziran, I be not needing your services this week." he said hiding anger. Sienna gave Ziran a sad sighing look. She had no Tyrell or Ziran near now. If Sharchan will not come back to his senses it will be a hard week. Sharchan grabbed Sienna's hand and pull her all the way to the Tiger Castle. Sienna followed him obediently, holding the beautiful bouquet in her hand with a sweet smile. She knew this meant war. Sharchan's mood was freezing all the way up the Tiger Castle. When they come to the castle, Sharchan just pushed her into his room and lock the lock." I will make you pay for this!" he hissed and left.
Meanwhile, at the City Gates, the carriage full of fully veiled females was passing thru. The city guards were elated. Maybe that is why Magnus called them to be all in, to wait for this special wagon. The snake warrior, who was holding the reigns of carriage horses with females was very young, so he did not seem to be dangerous at all.
"Pass-through said the guards, are you bringing them to the Forum?"they asked him, "Yes, you are all welcome to come and look." he smiled. The guards were ecstatic. So many females. They must be very beautiful to be all covered.
The snake warrior, make the horses pass the gates and stopped the wagon. The females slowly went out. They looked like colourful veiled figures. They dispersed slowly and each of them find the guard to stand next to. Suddenly the veiled females attacked the guards and tied them all up.The guards had no time to resist as they were in the shock. They were so fast the guards had no time to change into tigers and found themself locked up in huge iron cages in cellars under the watchtower. The light of the fire was lightning the colourful veiled figures...
Suddenly King Sharchan appeared in front of them." Did he betray king Tyrell? Is he taking over the city?" the guards in cages were wondering." Did he use the opportunity to take the city when his brother is out?" they looked around, but did not see any eagle guards there, just themself, the City Gate guards.
They looked at Sharchan in horror. Sharchan looked at them with a killer cold look and came to the veiled females standing in line next to him.
"What did Tiger King order you to do with the people coming and leaving?" He asked coldly.
The boss of the city guards mustered his courage." To check everyone's faces." he said.
"Exactly!" said Sharchan looking at him coldly. "So why did you not check these veiled females? "he asked them coldly.
"Because we respect their decision to wear the veil." said the guard. Sharchan's face grinned. "You do what king Tyrell will tell you, not what you think, because...", he came closer to the veiled figures.."if you check their faces you will see they are actually" ....he took the veil off the figure and all of them took their veils of...
"The snake warriors!" The guards exclaimed in horror.
"Let this be a lesson for you." Said the Sharchan coldly."You check everyone's face from now on or next time I will not be so lenient."He said coldly.
"Let them out," he said to the snake warriors. The snake warriors opened the iron cages and let the tigers out."They were enraged."Why did Sharchan punish them like this?"They decided to go and complain to Magnus.
"Lord Magnus," the captain of the guards stops him at the forum."We were attacked in the gates by veiled snake warriors, we let them in as females. They locked us in cages!"
"Why did you let them in without checking them first!"Magnus raged."You deserved the punishment. Be happy king Sharchan let you live and do your duty better!"Said Magnus. "You should thank Lord Ziran. Only because of him, King Sharchan did not kill you."The guard captain turned back and did not understand, but surely they will check everyone from now on.
Sienna put down the strong face, and tears run down her cheeks, she was alone in Sharchan room now. She sat down on the bed and start thinking about her options. She understood that Sharchan had legacy issues, but to treat her like a rag in front of others she could not bear. Today he humiliated her twice. What if other males will do the same to other females? Will it be considered normal? Probably he got provoked before she went out because it does not make sense he got her flowers otherwise. Sienna figured, he was trying to be nice, and he was made laughing stock of him and reacted rudely to keep his appearance. This was a problem for Sienna. To try to humiliate her for keeping his appearance is too weak from Sharchan. She did not like it, because it may get worse if she let it be. She understood that Sharchan may not be accustomed to deal with people apart from killing them or beating them up, and he did not know how to react to mocking. But to be rude to her, she would be more happy if he beat the other males to mush if we wanted to keep his appearance. But to be rude to her, "his mate and queen", no way. She felt betrayed. "Are the other people more important to him than me? Who cares what they say.He did put their will over my sake!!!"
Sienna missed Tyrell, he was her shoulder to cry on when she felt sad or someone made her angry. But Tyrell went already to visit nearby Tiger Tribes, to discuss the trade deals he needs for the city. Sharchan did not even let her kiss Tyrell goodbye...
Sienna got upset, she did not like the way Sharchan treated her, and she will make him pay for it. She did not like to hold a grudge, so she decided, she need to go and relax these overwhelmingly stressful feelings, so she will be able to think more clearly. She did not want to be locked up like a captive. Besides this castle was Tyrell's and her's home, so Sharchan should at least behave himself and not lock her up. "Is not like I was planning to go anywhere, but wait, I can actually go somewhere now! What a great idea. "Sienna smiled cheekily.
Sienna was not interested at all in how will Sharchan make her pay and decided to get out of his room. She looked out of the window. She could oversee a market, and busy Eagle and Vulture soldier's station. She took a little mirror from a wall and started to catch the light, to catch the attention of soldiers. Few of them looked in her direction, and she waved to them to come up. They decided to send Voltoire as he was on the base this time and knew the queen personally.
Voltoire landed at Sienna's window...
