Bab 6: Secret war part 1
' I don't like this. I really don't like this.'
Jay thought as he hovered thousands of meters above Nick fury's secret warehouse. Waiting for the shit to hit the fan.
' Damn it Jen, why would you agree to a mission like this? Might as well see who else is taking part of this.'
Jay thought as he began to use his X-ray vision. Looking down he could make out the figures in the building. An unknown shield agent, Black Widow, Captain America, Spiderman, Daredevil, Luke cage, Wolverine, and She-hulk.
" Well, I got to admit that's quite the diverse Lineup there Fury."
Jay said to himself as he listened in on the conversation.
" We're going to overthrow the government."
Fury said to the heroes.
' The hell?! Fury are you crazy? Forget adverting an international crisis. This is going to be much, much worse.'
Jay thought as he listened to fury's plan.
" When this comes back to bite us fury, I'll have your head."
Jay said as he began to follow the heroes.
" Okay, firsts things first. We need to shut off any security alarms. Spiderman, Wolverine, Captain America you three will take security. Once it's down She-hulk, Power man, Daredevil, and agent Johnson will handle the armed forces inside the castle."
Fury explained to the group his plan for attack.
" What are you going to be doing while we're getting shot at fury?"
Logan asked.
" I'll be placing explosives in and around the castle. Once, I'm done doing that, I'm heading for von bardas."
Fury explained.
" All right! You all have your assignments move out!"
Fury ordered
" Right!"
" Come on web head, boy scout! I wanna get this over with."
Logan said as he walked towards the communications tower.
" Don't you guys think this is a little much? I mean I'm way out of my element here. I mean I'm the friendly neighborhood spiderman, not the friendly latverian spiderman."
Peter joked.
" Fury says this the government wants this done and I agree with them. So, for now just think of this as a second New York."
Captain America joked back as the three ran through the forests of Latveria
" Yeah, yeah. Oh, man Mj is going to kill me for this."
Peter complained
" Alright we're coming up on the tower. Spiderman get up high. I'll climb the tower and meet you halfway. Logan-"
Steve was explaining
" Stow it boy scout."
Logan said cutting the man off.
" Do what you do best."
Steve responded.
' Are these guys serious?'
Jay asked himself as he followed the group.
" Alright. Let's go peter."
Peter said trying to hype himself up.
He stuck out his hand and webbed up the mouth of one of the guards and yanked the weapon from his hands and dropped down on top of him knocking him out cold.
Two nearby guards saw the body of their comrade and ran to see what happened. Captain America quickly vaulted over the men and knocked them out with one swing of his shield.
" Sorry."
Peter said as Steve looked at him
On a lower floor Wolverine was busy dispatching Guards himself.
" Have I ever told that guy scares me?"
Peter asked as he and Steve looked down at the man.
" He's not so bad. Let's go."
Steve said as he jumped to the ground below, spiderman following quickly behind him.
" Rahh!"
Logan growled as he cut the last guard down.
" Nice work wolverine."
Steve said praising the man for his quick work.
" Yeah, yeah!"
Logan replied.
" Once inside we need to move fast and take them down. Can't let them call in any air support or back up for the castle. Ready?"
Steve asked as he explained the mission.
" Rah!"
Logan growled as he started cutting through the walls of the tower.
" Intruders!"
One of the thugs yelled as the three heroes ran into the building.
" Way to go scruffy."
Spiderman said as he dodged bullets.
" Shut it web head and just kick their assess."
Logan yelled as he cut through the guards.
" There's one going for a switch!"
peter yelled
Cap turned around and quickly threw his shield at the man's head knocking him out and preventing him from alerting the rest of Latveria.
Up in the sky Jay continued watching over the three heroes as they steadily took down the remaining guards.
" Looks like they've got things covered over here, I'll head over to the others and see if they need help."
Jay said as he left to find the other team of heroes.
Jay flew over the skies of Latveria straight towards castle doom.
" Can I get a little back up over Shulkie?"
Luke asked as he battled against Electro.
" I'm a little busy over here!"
Jen yelled back, while getting swarmed by the castle's guards.
" Where'd that other woman go?"
Daredevil asked as he flipped over, She-hulks head and attacked the guards.
" Thanks devil."
Jen said to the man.
" No, problem let's go help Powerman."
Matt said to the woman
" Hahahaha! Too bad the web head couldn't be here for this. Wait until he gets a look at my new suit."
Electro laughed as he choked Powerman.
" Do you not know how to shut up?"
Luke asked in annoyance over the man's constant ramblings.
' I thought electro was a C tier villain. I mean Spiderman always beats him with relative ease. This new suit must be something. Should I jump in now?'
Jay wondered as he floated over the battle.
" Is this all you heroes got? I expected better."
Electro gloated as he pushed the three heroes back.
" Seriously where is that damned woman?"
Jen asked as lightning hit her in the face.
" Up here, now shut up and grab this!"
Agent Johnson yelled as she threw down a metal pike.
" Wrap that around it!"
Johnson yelled as she threw a wire down to Luke and had him wrap it around the pole.
" Okay, come on Emp Emp Emp."
Johnson chanted as she finished working on her side of the things.
" What?! NO!"
Electro yelled as he realized what was going on. He tried to stop Johnson but was too late. She activated the Emp, and Electro vanished into nothing.
" Damn!"
Luke said as he watched electro disappear.
" Cap to Fury. Security systems have been deactivated."
Steve said over the radio to the man.
" Johnson to Fury. All enemy guards have been dealt with."
Johnson said also reporting her team's status.
" Good, I finished placing the explosives. Now, it's time to deal with the head of this dragon. Fury out."
Fury said to the group as he finished placing the last explosive.
High above the sky Jay was looking down on the team impressed by Johnsons quick thinking.
" Damn! That woman is good. That was smart making a makeshift emp to scatter electro."
Jay said as he watched the team move on.
" Wait a minute, Where's Widow?"
Jay asked as he looked for the spy.
' Fury must be having her do something secret, wouldn't surprise me if she's trying to cover our tracks here or something like that.'
Jay thought as he looked for the woman.
" Alright! it's time for everyone to meet up. Converge on my location."
Fury said outside of Lucia's throne room. It took the team in the courtyard a few minutes to make it towards Fury's location. But the team of Logan, Steve, and peter a little while longer.
" We all here?"
Fury asked
" All but Widow. Where is she?"
Steve asked
" Making sure we have a way home."
Fury responded.
" Any other questions? Web Head?"
Fury asked with his gruffy voice.
" Nah I'm good. Let's just get this over with."
Peter replied.
Nick kicked the door to Lucia's throne room open to see the woman waiting with a swarm of guards.
" Lucia Von Bardas."
Fury called out.
" Nicholas Fury, why is it the Americans have sent their Avengers to my home when we are supposed to be allies?"
Lucia asked.
" The us doesn't ally with terrorists planning an attack on our home Von Bardas."
Fury responded.
" Why are you fighting me Fury?"
Lucia asked
" I ain't here to fight ya von Bardas. I'm here to make an example out of ye. This place is going down along with your whole operation. Should deter anyone thinking along the same lines."
Fury explained to the woman.
" So, much for your presidents' friendly words to me. Or does he even know you're here?"
Lucia asked
" You got a simple choice toots. Either come with us quietly or die when we turn this place into a big pile of Latverian bricks."
Fury said to the woman.
" You will pay for this Nicholas Fury. I promise you that! Take them!"
Lucia ordered her guards.
" Take them down!"
Steve ordered as he threw his shield at the guards.
' What the hell is she talking about Fury? Does the president not know about this?'
Jay wondered as he watched the fight.
Although his attention was soon drawn by a force down in the castle's basement.
" That doesn't look good. I think I should take that."
Jay said as he watched the Tinkerer start his attack robot.
Jay flew down into the castle's basement and confronted the mad scientist.
" Who are you? What are you doing down here?"
The tinkerer asked.
" I'm here to stop you. Simple as that."
Superman said the man
" Superman! What are you doing here?"
Widow asked in shock.
" Well, I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd give you guys a hand."
Superman said to the woman.
" You shouldn't be here? You're ruining our plan!"
Widow yelled
" Wait, I'm ruining your plans? Right, because this situation can't get any worse."
Superman said sarcastically.
" Look go get what you came here for while I take care of this real quick."
Superman said to the woman ending the argument.
" You think it will be easy to destroy my creations? You are foolish Superman! Hahahaha! Get him."
The tinkerer yelled to his robotic creations.
Jay turned his head towards the robots and with a single blast of his heat vision turned them all to scrap.
" You were saying?"
Superman asked
' I was saying I give up."
The tinkerer replied as he held his hands up.
" Wise decision."
Superman responded.
" Fury, I got what we came for, but we have a problem."
Widow said over the radio.
" What kind of problem?"
Fury asked
" A Super one."
Widow replied.
" Ughhhh! We'll handle that when we get back you get out of there and meet us at the extraction point! Fury out!"
Fury replied to the woman.
" Come one. We're getting out of here."
Widow said to Superman
" Where are we going?!"
Superman asked as he ran down the hall with wido by his side.
" To the extraction point."
Widow replied
" Where is the extraction point, I can get us there faster."
Superman said.
" Here look at this! It's 3 Klicks south of this point."
Widow replied as she held up a visual map for the man.
" Okay, hold on."
Superman said.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and flew straight up through the ceiling. Just as he did, he turned around to see the entirety of the castle explode.
" What the hell. Fury what did you do?"
Jay asked as he looked at the massive wall of flames.
" What was necessary to prevent another 9/11 now, hurry up we need to get out of here."
Widow replied to the man.
" You don't understand widow. There will be consequences for this."
Jay said as he flew towards the checkpoint.
The two arrived before the others and sat on the jet waiting for the team to arrive.
" Why did you come?"
Widow asked the sullen man.
" I came to make sure you all got out of here alive. I didn't think you'd be here committing an act of terrorism yourselves."
Jay said as he stared at the ground.
" They were preparing an attack on the United States. We acted in defense."
Widow replied.
" You don't realize it do you? There will be consequences for this. I fear more severe than even you or fury realize."
Jay said to the woman.
" We had to make that gamble. We'd do anything to protect our home. I'm sure if you were in our position, you would do the same."
Widow replied.
" I just hope you guys were right."
Jay said ending the conversation at that.
After a few minutes the rest of the team arrived at the jet ready for departure.
" Superman?! What are you doing here?"
Peter asked in surprise.
" Nothing I was doing absolutely nothing. Just like the rest of you."
Jay responded.
" Now that everyone is here safe, I'll take my leave."
Jay said as he got up from his seat.
" Superman wait!"
Fury yelled.
Jay turned and walked towards the man and punched him in the face.
" Damn you Fury. Damn you all to hell."
Jay said before storming off the jet.
" I don't know how. I don't know when, but I do know this going to come back to bite us in the ass hard."
Jay said as he flew home
