Raising his brows, Evan Livares promptly shifted his gaze to Aviana who was looking at him, curiously.

His birth father wanted him to bring Aviana along?

He thought of how Aviana had never met his birth father in person and... imagining them meeting each other made him quite uneasy.

Maybe because he cared too much about how Aviana might feel.

Would she be comfortable with it?

"I believe that delaying your departure will only make things hard for you," he finally said after a while. "You should just stick to the plan." He looked at Aviana and he could tell that her hands were aching, wishing to grab the phone away from him again when she heard what he just said.

"You know that Carlo is reliable," Enea Morelli argued from the other line. "Have dinner with me," he repeated himself and said, "I will go there if it's hard for you to come back to the penthouse."
