Bab 17: Out for Fun

The middle-aged woman smiled shyly when she heard Su Xiaonai's compliment. She quickly took out a basket.

"Ma'am, how many boxes do you want?"

Su Xiaonai took two boxes of mung bean cookies from the cabinet, and went around for some extra flower cookies and date cakes.

The woman placed Su Xiaonai's selection of pastries in the basket and followed her silently.

Su Xiaonai was almost done picking. She looked around and saw that there was not much else she was interested in trying.

Then, Su Xiaonai's gaze landed on a small transparent jar and she walked over quickly.

Su Xiaonai picked it up and took a closer look. There were a lot of osmanthus flowers inside. She wanted to turn around and ask the woman about it.

Before she could say anything, the woman started explaining.

"This is our homemade osmanthus jam. It's really good."

Su Xiaonai nodded and placed two cans of it in the basket.
