The Grim reaper had already disappeared so it was only natural that there was nobody left inside the room to answer Akira's question, but even without any need for confirmation, Akira could guess why Yuzu was living with Kaito.
Akira gulped as he fell back on the bed in disbelief.
The man gulped as he recalled a rumor that had once entered his ears.
Back when he first heard it, the rumor sounded ridiculous and there was no way Akira could blindly believe it.
At the end of the day, rumors were nothing more than that: They were just rumors that would never be true and Akira also paid no mind to such senseless rumors, but now that he was here, sitting inside Kaito's house, in Yuzu's room, he couldn't help but change his thoughts.
Perhaps the rumor that he had heard back then was not just a rumor.
There was a high chance that Kaito and Yuzu were secretly dating each other...
And if that were to be the case, then it would make sense why Yuzu always chose to follow Kaito and worked with him so much.
Akira let out a breath that sounded as if it was a small dry exhausted chuckle that lacked a sense of joy.
He couldn't believe it...
If he searched around the room, he was sure that he would be able to find even more proof but he didn't do it simply because he didn't want to find the proof. He didn't want to confirm it.
The man sat there for a long time till his phone started to ring loudly.
It was a ringtone that he had perhaps heard a few times back when he was supervising Yuzu's photoshoots.
Akira gulped as he picked up the phone and saw that it was an unsaved number that was calling Yuzu.
His eyebrows furrowed together in confusion and he contemplated on whether to pick up the phone or not, but by the time he was done deciding, the ringing had already ended.
Akira frowned as he turned on the phone using the finger lock and opened the contact list to see the call history.
He had wanted to call the number back to check whether it was an important call or not but once he opened the call history, he was a bit surprised to see that most of the numbers had never been saved on this phone.
Akira gulped as he opened the saved contact list and as expected, there were just a few names that were saved.
The first saved number belonged to Kaito, the second one belonged to Yuzu's manager and for some odd reason, the third one belonged to Ayami who used to be Akira's fiance.
Akira never knew that the two were connected to each other and he was clearly surprised to see that they were close enough for Yuzu to save the woman's phone number.
There were a few more names saved but Akira didn't recognize any of them and concluded that they were probably Yuzu's friends.
After scrolling only once, Akira was already at the end of the saved contact list and he pursed his lips into a thin line as he wondered why he hadn't found his own name saved there.
Out of pure curiosity, Akira opened the blocked contact list and on it, he only saw one name: 'Annoying asshole'
Akira couldn't help but want to laugh as he read the unique contact name but the smile soon left his face when he recognized the number that was saved under that name.
It was his own number...
"..."
It seemed that Yuzu had some deep grudge against Akira that the man had just found out about.
Akira sighed as he lay down on the bed and closed the contacts tab to open the photo gallery.
He felt a little guilty for going through somebody's phone like this but the man was curious and since he was currently inside Yuzu's body, he felt that he needed to know more about this man and his life.
Akira's muscles tensed up and he blinked as he saw the first photo that popped up on the screen once he opened the gallery.
It was a picture of a cat... A white cat with fluffy hair and hazel eyes.
Akira's eyes narrowed down at the picture and he was certainly a bit surprised.
He scrolled down expecting to see other pictures but all he saw was a photo gallery filled with cats. All types and breeds of cats...
This almost made him feel as if he was looking through the phone of a cat and not a person.
Yuzu was a model so wasn't it only natural to expect his own modeling photos on his phone...? Why was it overcrowded with cats and food?!
As the man looked through the gallery, he shockingly learned that he knew nothing about Yuzu.
Akira closed the phone and put it aside as he looked up at the golden ceiling of the room.
"Yuzu... You're a cat worshiper, aren't you...?" He muttered out a question but there was naturally nobody there to answer him.
Yuzu was certainly a cat worshipper and ridiculously enough, Akira was mildly allergic to cats.
How was Akira supposed to take on the role of Yuzu and live like him when they were polar opposites...?!

"Zaelek, why are you here?" A man dressed in a black cloak, hovering in midair, asked as he glared at the one standing in front of him with a threatening Scythe in his hand.
"Isn't that supposed to be my question?" The grim reaper tilted his head as he asked casually in response.
The man didn't look to be too happy as he heard this question and the thunder got louder.
"You should head back," The grim reaper called Zaelek sighed as he spoke, shrugging his shoulders in the process, "I'm sure you have a lot of work to do."
"That's right," The man nodded his head as he confirmed it, "And the same goes for you as well. Why are you wasting your time like this? I'm the one who is supposed to be dealing with his soul."
Zaelek had no response to that but he didn't look to be affected either.
"Is this your way of rebelling after everything?!" The man sighed as he continued, "You can just hand this case over to me and leave, but instead, you-"
"I think I'll take this last one," Zaelek sighed as he spoke, "He's quite an interesting soul."
The man frowned as he heard this and questioned, "Interesting enough to make you overwork? Didn't you hate humans? I have never seen you take an interest in a human soul. Never in a good way at least."
Zaelek nodded his head without any sense of hesitation as he confirmed it, "Hanye, I'm helping you so you should just take it as a favor and keep this a secret."
Hanye was the one being helped but he certainly didn't look happy about it.
Akira was originally supposed to be the soul that Hanye was in charge of but because of a small mistake, Zaelek and Hanye had their soul books switched and Zaelek ended up collecting Akira's soul in place of Hanye.
The problem could have easily been solved if it were not for Akira winning the wish lottery and Zaelek being adamant on fulfilling the man's dying wish.
Hanye suddenly took out something and threw it over to Zaelek who caught it effortlessly.
It was a soul book that had all of its pages filled.
"Look carefully, you have already finished your job," Hanye clicked his tongue as he spoke.
Zaelek sighed as he heard this and threw the book back to Hanye as he responded, "Keep it safe for me. You can take some rest in the meantime."
Hanye's eyebrows creased together as he heard this and he opened his mouth to say something more but before any words could roll out of his tongue, he heard the man continue.
"There were three names but the other two were struck off," Zaelek sighed as he lifted his head and met the man's eyes as he asked seriously, "Isn't it strange?"
Hanye looked a bit surprised as he heard this and there was no need for further explanation as the man already understood what Zaelek was talking about.
"How can that be...?!" Hanye took a minute to question in disbelief.
"That's why this case is special," Zaelek sighed as he spoke, "I might not like humans but I also don't like leaving behind unsolved mysteries. I'm afraid that for the time being, I can't give the book back to you."
Some mystery? What could it be?
